Riding Same-Size Creatures

I'm looking for a way to ride a creature of the same size, I believe there is a feat called powerful mount which animals can take to allow this, but I can't seem to find it, I think it is called powerful mount.

PF is preferable but dnd is find.

Iirc, Powerful Mount is in one of the third-party Dragonlance books.
