I have played many wizards over the years, and as such, I have hit most of the PrCs in the official books, a few divine PrCs converted to arcane, and one from Dragon Magazine. Lately, my wizard itch has been going off and I think I'd like to play one again. So, I was wondering if anyone could suggest for me some fun PrCs that they know about.

I'm mainly looking for anything with one or less CL loss, preferably from a less well explored official book or dragon magazine (although not Spell Sovreign, I've played that already).

Thanks.

Force Missile Mage?

I'm not saying, be a blaster, but if you Arcane Thesis it, you can stack some pretty interesting metamagic effects on it, depending on how RAW your DM goes. Plus, you'd only really need the one combat spell, and can devote the rest of your spells to utility spells.

Heck, if you find a way to be able to spontaneously convert prepared spells to Magic Missiles, you can pretty much prep whatever spells you want each day and just fling magic missiles on the fly.

How about a changeling racial ACF double-focused specialist transmuter-illusionist/master specialist/war weaver/legacy champion/abjurant champion or shadowcraft mage?

Or you could try an easy-bake wizard who specializes in casting as much as he can spontaneously, using domain wizard, domain spontaneity, spontaneous divination, and so on?

That is an interesting concept. Fell Drain and similar work well with this.

That seems like the arcane answer to a melee/buffer Cleric. Although I have played a Changeling double-focused Recaster.

I actually played something a bit like this: Mindbender (with Mindisght)/Divine Oracle using Uncanny Forethought. He was the wizard that could not be surprised.

Illumian, Krau/anything, Beguiler 1/ Wizard 4/ Ultimate Magus 10/ Mindbender 1/ Incantatrix 4 or Wizard +1/ Paragnostic Apostle 3. Get Practiced Spellcaster: Beguiler and you can apply all ten UM levels toward Wizard. Get Versatile Spellcaster and you can spend two Beguiler spell slots of the same level to cast any Wizard spell you've learned of one level higher, and also get early access to the next level of the Beguiler spell list. Get Able Learner since Illumians are Humanoid (Human) and you can keep up your ranks in all your favorite Beguiler class skills. I'd specialize in Conjuration with Enchantment and Evocation prohibited, and get Abrupt Jaunt of course. Also consider this Wizard variant (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/variantCharacterClasses.htm#wizard) from UA to trade Scribe Scroll for Improved Initiative, your Wizard 5 bonus feat can still be traded for one of the ACFs in CC.

How about focusing on Telekinesis with a ghost wizard/master of the unseen hand?
