Are there any rules for hanging?

I am working on a "hanging judge" style serial killer villain for my game and wanted to know if there are any special rules on the subject of his signature weapon.

Right now, the hangings aren't something that happens in combat, the killer's primary class is gunslinger who stages the hanging after beating a victim without killing him.

So far, I am keeping it simple but have an idea of how it would work if the matter comes up in combat. The noose is just a lasso. Getting the noose around a neck at a distance is a -4 called shot. I am not going to try to figure out snapping necks. Suffocation rules apply for damage, making it not very useful in combat.

It's 3.5 but Book of Vile Darkness includes rules for execution. If I recall correctly it involved a Profession: Executioner check with success killing the victim and a fail having a suitable nasty effect.

Nothing about doing it in combat though.

I think that I have that somewhere.

Thank you.
