Gain Scent

Are there any ways to gain scent as an innate part of the build (i.e. template, class ability, feat) rather than as a spell, magic item, or martial maneuver? I'm aware that Bear Warrior offers it at Level 3, but I'd like to gain scent by ECL 5 if that's possible.

Lycanthropy affliction will give you Scent with all of the were forms.

Hunter's Sense, a 1st level Tiger Claw stance from Tome of Battle, gives you Scent while you're in that stance. You can have it from level 1.

Either play a Swordsage or a Warblade, or take the Martial Maneuver and Martial Stance feats.

Tiger Claw is easiest, but there are a couple other ways. Dromites (XPH, LA+1) get it for free. Nezumi (OA, LA+0) can take it as feat. So either of those would get it at level ECL 1 or 2

Half Minotaur gets Scent and Track.

Tibbits get Scent while in cat form. So, you know, that's a thing.

I think the Wildrunner PrC would give you the Scent ability at ECL 6 or 7, requires elf or half-elf, and you would probably need to be a ranger because I believe Endurance is a requirement for entry...

A Wildhunt Shifter gains Scent as a racial ability (though only one shifted). At other times they gain +2 to Survival from the lingering effects of the Scent ability
