Being ticklish is actually an evolutionary advantage for mammals. Some animals even laugh when tickled, rats (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_oKQ9Dzitc) and gorillas (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gglm7adEKPw) being two of those.

My dad would torment me for hours tickling me until I was in pain from physical exhaustion and lack of breath when I was little. I learned to cope with it just so I could breathe, not that I'm complaining. Those were fun memories. Now that I'm a father, I kick and giggle like crazy when my toddler tickles me, though, but he hasn't figured out how ticklish my belly button is though, thank goodness. :smallredface:

I'm quite ticklish on my belly, but that's nothing compared to my current girlfriend.
She's so ticklish that I literally don't even have to touch her, just communicating the intention of tickling her is enough to make her burst into laughter and jump around.
