Hey guys I am building a few magical items and want to make sure I have the cost right.

My example is a light crossbow with Quick loading on it.

The crossbow is 35gp, it needs to be masterwork so that's +300gp.

Now I know it needs to be a +1 bonus before you can add extras, and +1 for the Quick loading. So that would be a total of 8,000gp.

That is a total of 8,335gp isn't it?

What page of the DMG has all the costs, I am struggling to find it.

That is the correct price for that crossbow and the rules for magic weapons are on pages 221-223 with the weapon special abilities in the section immediately after them.

Thank you Dread_Head, I must have jumped over table 7.9 several times.

No problem, simple rule of thumb is that weapon enhancement are priced equal to the bonus squared times 2000 while for armour its the bonus squared times 1000.

Well you succeeded in adding the +1 for the enhancement bonus to the +1 from Quick Loading and correctly priced the item as a +2. Getting that wrong is one of the more common mistakes for magic item newbies as far as I've seen.
