So, here's and idea that just occurred to me. Cast a Delayed Persistent Sudden Maximized something-or-other (some spell that deals damage), and you have a 24-hour time bomb on whatever you want. Note: Delay Spell+Persistent Spell add 9 to the spell level together, so metamagic reducers might come in handy if you want to do this pre-epic; that or Divine Metamagic.

Also, you'll want your target to be stationary, unless of course you Persistified a Delayed Blast Fireball, in which case you can just take the little glowy bead and put it wherever you want (in someone's backpack, for example).

There's probably something wrong with this idea that makes it not work, but I thought it was kind of a cool idea.

Morbo says, "PERSISTENT SPELL DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY!!!!"

Reread Persistent Spell.

Ah. Right. "Fixed or personal range." The aforementioned flaw.

Oh well. It was a fun idea.

Doesn't Morbo also say: "Morbo would appreciate it if you used Morbo's picture when referencing him?"

No. Morbo does not say that.

Well you could leave the spell in a fixed spot for 24 hours, you might get lucky.

Leave it somewhere, and put a very weak dispel trap there, so someone steps on the dispel trap and it dispels the fireball, most likely failing, so a fireball goes off in their face.

Fixed?

Explosive runes bomb anyone?
