Questions concerning Reincarnate

So a few questions on the consequences of the reincarnate spell.
When your character reincarnates, do they lose weapon proficiencies and special bonuses against certain creatures that they had in their other form?
Also, do they loose their special abilities such as Elves ability to detect secret doors, or acute senses?
Is there anything written on the subject that provides a clear answer?

The answer is that they do, in fact, lose or gain them based on their race. Though you could arguably attempt to apply the same considerations that go into polymorph. In theory, they even lose the bonus feat they had for being human. Polymorph doesn't have that particular silliness, though, so again, you might examine it for guidance.
