Does Extra Rage increase Spell Rage?

So my friend is gonna be playing a Rage Mage and I was wondering if the Feat "Extra Rage" from Complete Warrior increases the amount of Spell Rages he can use as well?

Three possibilities I can think of, I find the second ruling most likely the the third the least. The wording of the feat leaves some interpretation.

1) Your friends has to choose which rage to increase the daily amount by two

2) Your friend has two extra rages per day that can be used as either spell rage or barbarian rage

3) Your friend gains two extra uses of both rages

the use of the word 'or' in the feat makes it confusing, found a thread about the exact same topic except with a different rage than spell rage

I think the second one makes more sense

I'll probably go with that one unless something else makes more sense

Yeah, reading it states

"You rage or frenzy two more times per day than you otherwise could."

This suggests multiple options of class feature to use, but a hard limit of 2 extra times per day. I think option 2 as well.
