I would like to get some input on the feat selection of this character. Original thread is here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=293221). I will post the adjustments to the build below...

Human

Abjurer 3 / Master Specialist 3 / War Weaver 5 / Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil 7 / Master Specialist 2

Feats:

Human 1 - Collegiate Wizard
Level 1 - Spell Focus (Abjuration)
Level 3 - Enlarge Spell
Master Specialist 1 - Skill Focus (Spellcraft)
Level 6 - Spell Mastery
Master Specialist 3 - Greater Spell Focus (Abjuration)
Level 9 - Uncanny Forethought
Level 12 - Quicken Spell
Level 15 - Extend Spell
Level 18 - Persistent Spell

The question is: is it worth it to grab extend and persist so late without any metamagic-mitigating factors?

Also, is it worth it to take the last two levels of Master Specialist, or should I go for Archmage after all, and pick Spell Focus (Transmutation) and Chain Spell as my last two feats?

On that note, should I bother with Master Specialist at all? Perhaps I should go with Abjurer 5 / War Weaver 5 / IotSfV 7 / Archmage 3.

This game is likely to get to the point where I get to enjoy those last few levels so this does matter.

Extend Spell is the most useful at lower levels in my opinion, because your low caster level means low spell durations.

But Persistent Spell! Are there any lower level spells that are worth giving 24hr duration for +6 level adjustment? Minutes/rounds durations are the best bet. I can't really think of any though...

I would not do persist unless you are planning on going into epic levels. I would stick with your build using the master specialist the special ability you get at lvl 4 is kinda nice. I also wouldn't both bother with chain spell since war weaver gives you a version of it.

Hmm you do have a point. What feats would you suggest as replacements?
