Hello everyone,

So, what do you think the name for the book will be?

There were so many changes in the story in the last arc that it's difficult to describe in few words:

- Azure City's Resistance is dead and Xykon finds it phylactery
- The Order reaches the Western Continent
- Elan and Haley find their respective fathers
- They find Girard's Gate and destroy it
- Nale and the Linear Guild are destroyed

The whole theme of this arc was the western continent. But so much happened!

What do you guys think?

isn't it "Blood Runs in the Family"?

"Blood runs in the family" surely condenses pretty much everything: the Empire of Blood, Tarquin and Nale, the dead Draketeeth, the consequences of V's acts in defense of his family, Malak searching for children and getting a brother in vampirisque ways, Haley finding her relatives, the fact that Roy is still under the Blood Oath... It only lacks a reference to the desert scenery. "Blood runs in the desert". Or would it be cheap? (Blood and Sand is already taken, is already taken. From like, 100 years).

By the way, Turin, are you from a Spanish-speaking country?

He's from Brazil, which isn't a spanish-speaking country.

Ooooooh, I didn't know it! Cool, pretty cool name indeed. Thank you!

(So, no chance for my idea, "Allosaurs and T-rannies")

Does use Portuguese, if memory serves.

Right you are.

We speak portuguese in Brazil. I once found that not many people seem to know this. They usually think that we speak spanish or "brazilian".

This one would be bad because it took me like a minute to figure out that it's an innocent joke about "tyranny" and not an offensive slur against a certain minority >.>

"Blood Runs in the Family" is a pretty good title that sums everything up. Though personally I also liked the commonly suggested title "Blood, Sweat, and Tiers". But lots of people hated that, so the real one is definitely the best.

I'm sticking with "Book 6" until we at least learn ANYTHING about it.

Given the information we have so far, my best guess is, "Death and Destruction".

I learned this from Orson Scott Card's Shadow (Bean) series.

FYI "tranny" is not a slur, but an in-community and near-community term of transgender identity (and boy howdy, there are lots of those euphemisms!).

Tranny is absolutely a slur when it's used by someone who's not a member of those communities.

Well, this thread was asked and answered, then took strange turns into linguistics before ending up at gender identity slurs.

I think we're done here.
