Deus Mortus
2007-02-15, 08:34 PM
The dwarf drinks a considerable amount of the lethal brew without blinking and takes a short nap, loudly snoring with a few stains of the beer in his beard, as he wakes up he washes it out with some water, combs all his hair and tie them together with large golden rings with old dwarven runes inscribed upon it, he turns to Ekrath and says, Laddy, do you perhaps have a small blacksmith I can use?

Raistlin1040
2007-02-15, 08:46 PM
Don't ask me. It's not my plane. I wonder if Jaishan has one though?
A voice from above states
I do as a matter of fact. 12 to be more specific.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-15, 08:53 PM
The dwarf seems to talk to nowhere in particular, but it is obvious he is talking to Jaishan, May I be so bold to ask to use one and if I can also ask direction to it, lad?

Raistlin1040
2007-02-15, 08:57 PM
Lad? Been a while since I was called that. But help yourself.
A full-set up blacksmith room appears in a blast of light.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-15, 08:59 PM
A good, but lad, when you grow my age, you start to call everyone that, anyway gentlelads, if this dwarf could have ye armors and some privacy, I promise ye shall not be disappointed.

Raistlin1040
2007-02-15, 09:01 PM
Ekrath drops his armor and retires to bed.

Lord Iames Osari
2007-02-15, 09:03 PM
I don't wear armor, but thanks for the offer.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-15, 09:09 PM
Well laddy then I'll be sure to make you some lightweight armor that you can use, from our previous encounter, I reckon a bit of steel between you and the attack wouldn't hurt, but dun worry, I'll make sure it'll be good tha maneuver in. The dwarf walks into the blacksmith and closes the doors behind him, after a few moments you start hearing muffled bangs from a blacksmith's hammer.

Raistlin1040
2007-02-16, 07:47 PM
Ekrath awakes and practices his swordfighting.

((Shameless bump))

Lord Iames Osari
2007-02-16, 08:13 PM
Drake looks up. Would you object to a sparring partner?

Raistlin1040
2007-02-16, 08:15 PM
Not at all. Assuming you think you can beat me. Master Jaishan don't interfere.
I would not. Remember I'm Lawful Good. Maybe a whimsical Lawful Good but Lawful good all the same.

Lord Iames Osari
2007-02-16, 08:17 PM
We'll find out, won't we? Drake pulls out his rapier and dagger and takes up a defensive stance.

Raistlin1040
2007-02-16, 08:18 PM
Fine. But don't say you weren't warned.
Ekrath places his hammer on the bed and draws his greatsword. He charges Drake.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-16, 08:20 PM
The dwarf opens the doors from the blacksmith, but doesn't do anything, watching the two fight it out.

Lord Iames Osari
2007-02-16, 08:36 PM
Drake dodges Ekrath's charge, sidestepping and deflecting the greatsword with his dagger at the same time. He counters with a thrust with his rapier, aiming for a nonvital spot.

Raistlin1040
2007-02-16, 08:40 PM
Ekrath ducks under the rapier attack and swings with his greatsword, aiming for drake's shoulder

((I'm not even going to go into how a dagger is completely incapable of deflecting a greatsword))

Deus Mortus
2007-02-16, 08:42 PM
((It can actually, deflecting isn't blocking, more a slight nudge to change the direction of the force))

Lord Iames Osari
2007-02-16, 08:47 PM
((exactly. Is the blow coming down from above, or up from below?))

Deus Mortus
2007-02-16, 08:51 PM
((Heh, I'd like to see that in real life, a person trying to swing a greatsword up xD ))

Raistlin1040
2007-02-16, 08:51 PM
((More like side.))

Lord Iames Osari
2007-02-16, 09:08 PM
Drake ducks under the sword, and his rapier thrusts at Ekrath again, expoliting the opening created by the momentum of the enormous sword.

Raistlin1040
2007-02-16, 09:10 PM
Ekrath takes the hit but heals up with a lay on hands. He then lets his left hand drop, holding the sword one handed. He smirks and draws a longsword in his left hand. He then swipes hard with the greatsword, followed by a thrust with the longsword.

Lord Iames Osari
2007-02-16, 09:46 PM
Drake backs away from Ekrath, dodging the clumsy attacks and bringing his weapons up to a guard position. He then springs forward, thrusts, and springs to the side.

Raistlin1040
2007-02-16, 09:48 PM
((Clumsy?!))
Ekrath shows suprising speed for one holding two heavy swords and dodges the thrust. He then tries to clap (for lack of a better word) Drake with the two swords with drake in the middle.

Lord Iames Osari
2007-02-16, 10:26 PM
((You're wielding a greatsword in one hand and tried to stab with a slashing weapon. I call that clumsy, at least compared to the way you would handle either weapon by itself))

Drake ducks back, earning a cut on his arm from the tip of the greatsword. He then springs forward, again thrusting with his rapier before leaping out of melee range to the side.

Raistlin1040
2007-02-16, 11:00 PM
Ekrath gets hit but heals with a CMD (Cure moderate wounds) He then soots a fireball from his ring and follows up with a slash from each weapon.

Lord Iames Osari
2007-02-16, 11:35 PM
Drake evades the fireball, deflects and dodges the greatsword with his dagger, and blocks the longsword with his rapier.

Raistlin1040
2007-02-16, 11:40 PM
Ekrath rears up to attack, and then uses his earings of teleportation to appear behind drake. He then ftrikes hard with both swords.

Lord Iames Osari
2007-02-16, 11:57 PM
Drake whirls around and raises his own blades. He manages to block the longsword with his rapier again, but the greatsword catches Drake's dagger full force, knocking it from his hand, severing Drake's thumb completely and cutting Drake's arm vertically in half up to the elbow. Drake screams in pain and rage and aims a full force stab with his rapier at Ekrath's gut, lightning wreathing its blade.

Raistlin1040
2007-02-17, 10:44 AM
Ekrath takes the hit and it goes through his chest. Unfortunantly when you have 40 lvls you tend to have a lot of HP. He pulls back both blades and swings as hard as he can at the rapier.

Lord Iames Osari
2007-02-17, 12:27 PM
Drake jumps back. His voice tight with pain, he says. Enough. We don't need to be using any more of our resources. And I need a new thumb.

Raistlin1040
2007-02-17, 12:43 PM
So I am correct in assuming you give up? Master Jaishan?
I do as I must.
The wounds from both warriors dissapear and Drake's thumb reattaches itself.

Lord Iames Osari
2007-02-17, 12:53 PM
Yes. Your skills are beyond mine, Drake admits.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-17, 08:38 PM
The dwarf seems to have enjoyed the duel, Too bad me old arm no longer can wield a proper blade, else I would've thought you to youngins something about fighting, anyway here are ye armors. The dwarf throws to armors, Ekrath's is about the same as his previous one, but the metal seems to shine like silver and is coated with golden pattern, dwarven runes within it tell story's of battle. When you put it on, you feel invigorated, the armor hardly seems to limit your movements and any blow on it is hardly felt on the inside, though the true power is a bit different, if you read aloud any of the story's, the dwarven hero of that story raises before you as a spirit and will aid you in battle.
Drake's one is a work of art, it seems just like his regular clothing, except on closer inspection, it is weaved from a seemingly weightless, but incredibly hard metal, billions upon billions tiny rings make up the fabric. Instead of hampering your movements it seems to enhance them, a thrust of you blade is faster then the eye and you can move faster then an arrow.

Lord Iames Osari
2007-02-18, 01:27 PM
Drake takes the armor gratefully.

((and can I ask what made sending a 25th level character on a mission with a 40th level character seem like a good idea?))

Deus Mortus
2007-02-19, 06:49 AM
((errr, what the hell, is Iames Drake and in that case is Drake banned as well?))

McBish
2007-02-19, 11:25 AM
((Yes, and I think so.))

Deus Mortus
2007-02-20, 08:23 AM
Drake looks with wide eyes and remembers he forgot something, he excuses himself and asks Jaito to teleport himself elsewhere, the god agrees and now only the dwarf and the paladin remain on the quest.

Raistlin1040
2007-02-20, 07:47 PM
Ekrath confusedly looks at where Drake was. He then turns to the dwarf and shrugs. ((So Drake and Iames were banned? Too bad. Iames was a cool guy.))

Deus Mortus
2007-02-20, 09:17 PM
((Drake is an alt of Iames and yes it sucks, but he broke the rules and knew he was doing it and also the consequences...))

The dwarf seems a bit confused by the recent acts, but says, Well one less man, but let's go on through the tunnel, instead of wasting time here.

Raistlin1040
2007-02-20, 09:26 PM
Ekrath nods and begins to walk. However as he walks his body begins changing into a girl's.
What the hell? Wait. Whats up with my voice?? Why do I have a sudden urge to have sex with half the guys in the town?
Ekrath I've kind of got some bad news... I got into a fight with another god and he kind of transformed all of my paladins into females. Said that because I wouldn't fist fight him I was acting like a woman so he changed my men into girls.
WHAT? I HATE YOU YOU BASTARD!
You know I won't hold that against you. I'll chalk it up to the mood swings. So the Elder gods won't let anyone interfere with the fued so until I can find a way to reverse this, you're kind of stuck.
That's okay Saito. I still love you.
You know I think I'm going to go now...don't let that dwarf get horny.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-21, 09:20 AM
The dwarf shakes his head, Ya silly elves, ya'll look like women to me anyway, can't even grow a proper beard!

Raistlin1040
2007-02-21, 10:37 AM
Yes I can! Well...not right now. But I could if I wanted to.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-21, 12:21 PM
I'll believe it when I see laddy, now let's move on.

Raistlin1040
2007-02-21, 12:23 PM
Fine. Let's go.

((Wouldn't it be "lass" now?))

Deus Mortus
2007-02-21, 12:24 PM
((You're a men in heart, plus the dwarf doesn't see the difference, you all look alike, bloody elves!))

The two leave and in front of the large gate.

Raistlin1040
2007-02-21, 12:37 PM
((Acually the way I'm playing Erika is that she's sort of a woman in mindset as well. It's partially mental as well as physical.))

A gate?

Deus Mortus
2007-02-21, 03:56 PM
Well unless you know any other structures that look like a gate, I'd say a gate yeah, laddy.

Raistlin1040
2007-02-21, 07:27 PM
What's it for?

Deus Mortus
2007-02-22, 02:18 PM
It's a gate laddy, it doesn't have a lot flexibility in uses, now does it?

Raistlin1040
2007-02-22, 07:13 PM
Well shouldn't we go in? Acually I'm tired. I'm going to go sleep.

Erika goes and makes a bed of leaves and lays down.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-23, 12:06 AM
Since when do elves sleep?

Raistlin1040
2007-02-23, 12:18 AM
We don't have to sleep. We trance. But sleeping feels better.

Deus Mortus
2007-02-23, 07:22 PM
The dwarf shakes his head and points to the door, You gonna open that or should I?

Raistlin1040
2007-02-23, 08:18 PM
No. I'm sleeping. Get near me and I'll open up a can of whoop ass.

Raistlin1040
2007-02-28, 04:11 PM
*bumpitty*

Deus Mortus
2007-03-05, 02:19 PM
The dwarf shakes his head and continues on to the door to inspect it.

(Sorry for my absence, work caught up to me)

Raistlin1040
2007-03-05, 05:16 PM
During the time Deus has been gone, Ekrath has recovered his gender, turned his mirror (Erika) LG, and both have ascended to demigodhood.

Deus Mortus
2007-03-06, 07:11 AM
((*blinks* So you wanna continue this, or not?))

Raistlin1040
2007-03-06, 01:47 PM
((Sure. Lets go))

Deus Mortus
2007-03-06, 01:51 PM
((Then open the damn door <_< :P ))

Raistlin1040
2007-03-06, 02:26 PM
Ekrath opens the door.

Deus Mortus
2007-03-06, 02:34 PM
The door slowly swing open, behind it an army of undead smiles to Ekrath, a few hundred zombies in armour, dozens of Undead Flesh Golems towering 20 feet high and even a few undead Giant, wielding clubs made out of bone.

At the end of the hall flies a vampire in black armour, he slowly raises his finger to Ekrath and says "Die" it seems like a whisper, but even from the few 100 feet you are away from him, you can hear it.

Raistlin1040
2007-03-06, 03:12 PM
(What part of Demigod Paladin/Favored Soul dont you get?)
Ekrath turns undead at like a caster level 45. He then smites evil. Repeatedly.

Deus Mortus
2007-03-06, 03:20 PM
((To quote Richard from Looking for Group "Good Times?"))

Ekrath quickly marches through the zombies, hundreds falling before him, the smile on the vampire's face is quickly whiped off.

Raistlin1040
2007-03-06, 03:20 PM
Smite evil on the vampire.

Deus Mortus
2007-03-06, 03:36 PM
((The vampire is too far away, you need to clear the undead first.))

Raistlin1040
2007-03-06, 03:39 PM
Ekrath continues to slay undead, moving towards the vampire the whole time

Deus Mortus
2007-03-06, 04:02 PM
Ekrath is capable of easily cutting down the zombies, however the Golems seem capable of absorbing a lot of damage and any cut of the blade or smiting seems to have no effect on the Giants.

Raistlin1040
2007-03-06, 04:52 PM
Ekrath yells out
Wait stop! Hammer Time!
He attacks with the hammer of vengeance.

Deus Mortus
2007-03-06, 05:01 PM
((Activated or not and if activated on who?))

Raistlin1040
2007-03-06, 05:27 PM
((Not activated))

Deus Mortus
2007-03-06, 05:37 PM
((If I remember correctly that would be +3 Greathammer (same stats as greatclub)))

You bash into the golems, it takes a while before even one of them starts to stagger a bit.

Raistlin1040
2007-03-06, 06:32 PM
Ekrath starts smiting with the hammer.

edit: ((Can I just teleport to the vampire?))

Deus Mortus
2007-03-06, 06:34 PM
The smiting helps and it doesn't take long before the golems go down.

((You can try...))

Raistlin1040
2007-03-06, 06:41 PM
Ekrath uses his teleport without error to teleport next to the vampire.

Deus Mortus
2007-03-06, 07:31 PM
The vampire smiles, he had casted greater anticipate teleport before the encounter and now know that a certain paladin is going to pop up soon and quickly conjures a large hollow ball of adamantite around the spot where ekrath will pop up, to finish it off, he teleports all the air out.

You port into the ball, no air and thick walls of adamantite.

Raistlin1040
2007-03-06, 07:47 PM
((Is that even a spell?))
Ekrath uses divine breath-holding to not breath and shifts to his home plane. He then shifts back behind the vampire.

Deus Mortus
2007-03-06, 07:50 PM
((He's an epic spellcaster, so it is now))

In the meantime the vampire had once again cast Greater Anticipate Teleport and does the trick again.

Raistlin1040
2007-03-06, 08:19 PM
Ekrath uses his Divine Skillz to stop the magic power flowing from the vampire.

Deus Mortus
2007-03-06, 08:22 PM
It fails, the vampire seems to draw from an enormous flow of negative energy and you start to feel the need to breath, you won't last much longer in that ball.

Raistlin1040
2007-03-06, 08:40 PM
Ekrath uses plane shift and sends 5 avatars to the material plane instead of himself. He knows that maintaining 5 blocks at a time will wear out the vampire.

Deus Mortus
2007-03-07, 08:00 PM
All 5 of the avatars are held in one block, cramped up as it slowly starts to shrink in size.

Raistlin1040
2007-03-07, 08:01 PM
((I sent them in different spots around the room.))

Deus Mortus
2007-03-07, 08:11 PM
((and the ball is really really big, I would let it work, but since you're a demigod now, the vampire's caster lvl went up a lot and should be able to make really big balls))

Raistlin1040
2007-03-07, 08:13 PM
((Like I put one behind the vampire. He would have sealed himself in.))

Deus Mortus
2007-03-07, 08:22 PM
((Greater anticipate gives three rounds to do whatever he wants, so he has the time to move away))
