He's always been my favorite Star Wars author. I didn't actually know until I started reading obituaries that he had started out working in RPGs.

The Rules Cyclopedia is among the single best D&D books in the game's 40-year history.
I'll have to run an RC game in his honor.

Aw, man!
I really liked his stuff. The Rules Cyclopedia was perhaps the single greatest book in D&D's history, perhaps in all of RPGdom. And Dawn of the Emperors and the Grand Duchy of Karameikos are true classics of Mystara, and his Wraith squadron novels...
Damn.

Very sad. I loved his books and I think he was a great author.
My sadness aside, I'm not sure this thread belongs here, though.
