Gesalt RAW logic of savage progression

So savage progression in savage species, as you level up you get feats....now... in the ugly world of gesalt, if you combined that with a regular character class.


Do you gain feats still as they are listed in the savage progression table? As they are listed as just feats gained, and not from racial source, even if logic says that is the monsters RHD?

No. It's pretty poorly phrased, but those feats are listed on the table to indicate for ease of use when you would get one from hitting a HD that's a multiple of 3.
