Just overall, did dragon fire adept, get any support among the dragon magazines?

I don't believe so which is unfortunate because it could definitely use some.

They might not have had any directed specifically to them, but they still got some things that are quite useful for them. For instance, the second-best feat for DFAs, Power Surge, was from a Dragon magazine.

DFA was a well-designed class in that it largely comes pre-supported. The big schtick of the class is the breath weapon, and so anything which helps breath weapons can help them.

They could have used support with meta breath feats, invocations, and some prestige classes.

To be fair, Power Surge is a feat that lets you use metabreath feats, no ifs, ands, or buts. So that helps.

Power Surge is good all by itself anyway; +1 damage per die, though I'd usually rather have the +50% duration (Entangling Exhalation, Clinging Breath).

Searching the Dragondex (http://www.aeolia.net/dragondex/index.html) master list has no instance of 'dragonfire' or 'invocation' or even 'warlock' for that matter. Invocation-using classes go zero support from Dragon magazine, apart from the above coincidental feat.
