So I'll admit I don't read the OOTS section of the forums very often unless a comic is released that day but who is this Vector Legion everyone keeps mentioning? Is it the name for Team Tarquin now?

Also I'm assuming this is a fan name because I don't ever remember the name coming up in the comics, but I could be wrong, I have been before (sometimes all too often)

It's the official name of Tarquin's adventuring group, according to the Giant's Twitter account (https://twitter.com/RichBurlew/status/435651746556149760).

You are right it never came up in the comic but @RichBurlew mentioned it on twitter. I wonder if he made it up on the spot or just revealed it that way.

I can suspend disbelief in a stick figure comic and enjoy it, but I still can't believe twitter is a thing. The future sure is a strange place.

Heh. It's funny because it's another reference to how the comic is drawn.

Their scheme is focused on achieving a specific goal, and it affects a lot of people.

In other words, it has direction and magnitude.

I so wish I could vote you up for that.

And it's complex, but they'll go to great lengths to come up with a good angle.

Of course, this means SPG's name is Victor, and the name is just a tragic misunderstanding when he gave his name the first time.

They also created a sort of meta-evil empire that dominates a whole continent, and the Giant is a Final Fantasy III/VI fan (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0388.html).

That's probably more in the nature of a coincidence, though.

Maybe SPG is Sir William Rowan Hamilton, knight of the Quaternions.
