In a new campaign world I'm working on, giants are going to be big parts of the world, so while looking at MM2, I began to recalculate the CR of the giants mentioned therein. I came up with the Forest Giant at CR 9, the Sun Giant at CR 10, the Ocean Giant at CR 13, and the Mountain Giant at CR 18. I used the Hill giant as a base line for the recalculation. For each of the following factors, I added +1 to the base CR of 7.
-every increase in size category
-every four HD above 12
-every special attack and special defense
