3rd Edition Losel?

Hello, all. I've got another unusual question for you.

My recent search for orc subraces and half-breeds led me to encounter the Losel; an orc-baboon hybrid species.

Yes, it's just a tad disturbing to think about. But I noticed that they were allegedly printed in one of the Living Greyhawk Journals back in the early 2000s, meaning that they were in a 3rd Edition publication, which has led me to assume that they had 3rd edition stats.

I can't for the life of me find the actual creature, though. No amount of archive-trawling has brought it up, and I don't think I can buy the hard-to-find magazine on eBay for a single monster.

Do any of you have a better knowledge of them than I do?

Living Greyhawk Journal #3 has them. I don't know about stats though. They are mentioned in the Monstrous Compendium Manual (2e) mammal section and there are 2e stats for them in the From the Ashes boxed set. That's all I got on them.

ETA: Here (https://www.wizards.com/dnd/Article.aspx?x=dnd/4dnd/201204outsider) is an WotC archive article that contains 2E stats for them. Losel are about half way down. Those stats seem like they are from the From the Ashes boxed set. I can check that when I get home tonight.

Thanks for the assistance, though at this rate I think I'll move on to a different race if I can't somehow obtain issue #3. The biggest reason I'm searching so hard for the losel is because it's sort of an ape-man, and I've been searching for those lately.

If you're open to Pathfinder material, the kech from Bestiary 3 might work for you:

"Not quite man nor ape, the kech is a hairless primate that dwells in the deepest jungles. There they live in sizable tribes, relying upon their uncanny coloration and skill with bows to hunt prey."

I had considered the Hadozee, though they seemed a little too tropical for the idea I have. Thank you though!

The Kech I'm very interested in now, thank you. I'll just make them True Neutral for my purposes. Maybe lower their racial HD and trim some of the miscellaneous boosts...
