Well, with how advanced modern home computers are, I bet the effects would be at least serviceable. I wish them the best. It's things like this that kickstarter is awesome for. :)

The History Channel documentary format amuses me both for it's potential for dramatic irony and as a metajoke about the history channel itself. There's some nice possibilities there for something entertaining…or really dry and dull. Hopefully they'll be adopting the complexity, ambiguity and differing contexts that make actual history provocative, and not the omniscient inoffensive tone of monotony exercised by the average school textbook.
