[PF] Question about Witch Hexes

If a witch casts a hex on an unsuspecting person and he passes his save, does he know the hex was attempted? Or could the witch keep casting it until she succeeds?

While the "hostile force or tingle" clause for passing a save specifies spells, I see no reason not to apply it to supernatural abilities and SLAs as well.

What Hex are you trying to use?
A lot of them say "Whether or not the save is successful, a creature cannot be the target of this hex again for 1 day."
