Just wondering who overall, misses the old 3.0 volley of shuriken rule that monks use to benefit from?

Refresh my memory, how is different than the 3.5 monk in terms of flurry of shurikens? Was it that you could throw two at a time?

That was changed in the transition from 3e to 3.5e. To compensate for no longer getting triple attacks, the base damage was increased (slightly) and the limitation of not getting strength bonus to damage was dropped.

was a shur thing not a monk thing.

Shur + monk flurry was a monster.

You could throw three shurikens at a time (which must all target one creature) per attack. You could not add the strength bonus to damage in 3.0, however.

You mean sweet sweet 1 level dip in monk before going pure Rogue for sneak attack to every shuriken? If so, then yes.

Yeah, but you were literally throwing away money to do so. Since they are ammunition you can't use them more than once arguably. On the other hand you could argue a shuriken with the returning enchantment could be reused.

True but ammunition comes in stacks, unlike a regular weapon. So you could get that rare , hardly ever used, but damn near amazing on the right target. For like pennies. An loads and loads of spells that enchant ammunition.

I mean it wasen't like this..

The Master Thrower gets that. It's called Palm Throw.

Close, two is not three.

Out of curiosity, where was this 3.0 rule found?

It was part of the Shuriken description.

Close, two is not three.

Palm Throw and Two with One Blow make that four for two, with adjacent targets.

Is not three, is four, is better three.

Ranger 1/Monk 1 and then finish out as a Rogue. Ambidexterity and Two Weapon Fighting was terrible. The only way to get it all in effectively was to dip Ranger.

That was a fun character.
