A 1 level dip of Battle Dancer can be good in some specific builds for the IUS and the Cha-based AC bonus. Otherwise, they are not really better than monk.

Battle Dancer is horrible. It's actually worse than Monk when you include even any monk splat options. Not even the overpowered ones like Martial Monk, but the merely "nice" ones like Decisive Strike, holy strikes, etc...

You should check errata, they were changed meant to be NPC version of bards.

I don't know. It takes more feats to get cha to AC otherwise. The battledancer has full BAB, too.

I agree with this (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=197574) thread: they're okay for a dip, but pretty crappy if you're going just battledancer. They're prolly tier 5 or so. They've got some situationally useful abilities, but nothing too great.
