Z-Fighter Build

Ok this is a Gestalt build question.

If I combo-ed Soulknife (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/soulknife)(Soulbolt (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/soulknife/archetypes/dreamscarred-press/soulbolt)/Gifted Blade (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/soulknife/archetypes/dreamscarred-press/gifted-blade)) & Psychic Warrior (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/psychic-warrior) (Martial Kineticist (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/psychic-warrior/archetypes/dreamscarred-press/martial-kineticist))

Would that make a good representation of a Z-Fighter, someone who uses Ki to blast at their foe but also relies on martial arts and hand to hand combat?

If I took Improved Unarmed Strike and so forth would that make it work a little better?

It looks like it'd be all right. You can probably skip Imp Unarmed Strike and just use Claws of the Beast refluffed as using your PP/Ki to enhance your attacks.

What I am not seeing in your build is any way to Fly/Hover. You will definitely want to blow a feat on Expanded Knowledge(Sustained Flight) or the equivalent. Though that won't come online until distressingly high levels.

Should I try and get Claws of the Beast as an item? Maybe a tattoo? How do those work, if I trigger it once is it expended?

What about the Dragonborn template? Maybe refluff those wings as something.

If you want, you could. But Claws of the Beast is a 1st level Psiwar power that lasts hours per level, and can be manifested as a swift action. By the time you could actually afford a custom magic item that grants it, it should be up anytime you need it at a cheap enough cost you don't notice.

Yeah, if you're willing to do major refluffing this would be a good option. Bonus con and always on flight starting at low levels is a great deal.


Alternatively you could swap out some of your soulknife progression for some Aegis. Aegis 5 will net you 8 customization points, which if you focus it all into Flight will net you Fly Speed at your base move speed +40ft with perfect maneuverability. Form your armor as a psychoactive suit and the suit will also get you +10ft base move speed, +2 Dex, and Evasion. Combine with Hustle/Dimension Slide (or whatever the PF equivalent is) and you have that Z-warrior speed feeling down. Aegis also gets you a few extra PP (not much, but some) DR3/-, good Fort and Will, and some other stuff you probably don't care about.

True I suppose if its at level 1 I could use it pretty good for most of the first level at 2nd level he could expend this to something new.

Hmm that might be something never really looked into the Aegis clas. Will have to give it a look.

Of course I was thinking also the Celestial Armor which grants fly once a day.
