Okay, a monk has slow fall.

A giant rock is falling 60'. This is a crazy monk with a strength of 30. He could carry the rock. It's weight is in his weight limit.

He wants to jump off the ground 6 inches, "CATCH" the rock, then because he's falling, he takes no "falling damage" because his slow fall negates 60 feet of slow fall damage and the rock is falling 60 feet. If the rock landed on him, he would take "falling" damage. Slow fall prevents falling damage, after all.

His reason being, if he's got deflect arrows and catch arrows, he can catch any falling object as a DC 20 reflex save, and then his slow fall negates falling damage.

???

Profit?

It doesn't look like falling objects deal falling damage. They deal damage in a fashion similar to that of falling damage, but the term falling damage is never explicitly used in conjunction with objects hitting you on the head.

Which do you want more, a player with a flattened monk, or a player who feels like a bad ass?

Definitely not. Under no circumstances must a Monk be allowed to think they can do things. Least of all USE Slow Fall.
