LA +1 race for Archivist

I'm creating an archivist for a campaign, and was told that races with level adjustment are being reduced by 1, so an LA+1 will be treated as an LA +0 (no extra level for playing a LA +0 though). Ideas on fun/good races?

Draconic gives a nice set of stat boosts. Dark gives you the option of being really hard to detect, which can be quite handy.

With that reduction you might consider the Saint template if available.
Losing a caster level always hurts, but LA+1 Saint is THAT good.
