Adept into Ur-Priest

If I take 2 levels of Adept to gain a familiar, then become a Ur-Priest forsaking my adept casting do I get to keep my familiar?

An adept has no code of conduct to follow, and the Ur-Priest description says only things about renouncing spells, not familiars, so by a simple reading of the rules, I would say yes. It does seem like it doesn't quite "follow" in a reasonable manner, but I'm not going to get into that, because people here accept RAW as holy writ and don't like people challenging it.

Also, Eberron has an arcane variant of the adept class, if you are interested.

Yeah, you keep the familiar. Adepts aren't really worship-based like other divine casters, so the various techniques they figure out aside from casting are independent, like an Archivist's Dark Knowledge.
