Alright so I want to make a class that is more of a mystical samurai/monk like character in the vein of the Rurouni Kenshin style character. This is for Pathfinder so no Tome of Battle classes.

I was considering doing a homebrew, mixing in a few class features from the Monk, Samurai, Ninja, etc classes.

Does anyone have suggestions for class features and ideas?

Granting AC bonus like the Monk, adding in a flurry of strikes to use the rapid sword strikes or rapid unarmed strikes and so forth.

Why no Bo9S? It can be ported forward (replacing Concentration checks with Autohypnosis, from DSP's Psionics port). Unless your DM is restricting you to Paizo-publications only, ToB is the best way to emulate Kenshin Himura.

That is pretty much the case at hand, he is restricting all feats, classes, and access from 3.5 to approved on case by case level.

Try to get the Warblade approved. It does more or less everything Kenshin can do with the least amount of effort on your part.

There is the Samarai class (Cavalier alternate class). One of the orders is Ronin/Knight Errant

The Sword Saint archetype actually does have a nice speed strike that is similar but the focus on Challenges seems very restrictive considering it can only be used once per day at first level to a max of 7 times at 19. When almost all their class features focus on the brief times you are actually in a challenge.
