The premise of this is simple. It's a "Play what you Will" RPG, involving Dark Heresy, Rogue Trader, and Only War. For the sake of my own sanity, Only War will be the Rules Set will be followed where possible. As Dark Heresy Psychics are significantly different from later systems, Dark heresy characters (And only them) will use Dark Heresy Psychics instead.

This is kind of a fun romp meatgrinder sort of thing. Heavy combat, just kick in the doors, your mission is simple: Kill everyone within Hive Xanadu, There can be no survivors.

Characters all have their own different "scenes" which may or may not cross paths at various points. The game aims to keep the challenges fair by bringing enemies that fit the capabilities of whatever you bring. Bring a Rank 1 Adept? You'll get fair scenarios. Bring a 30,000 XP Only War battlescarred veteran? You're going to draw HERO OF THE IMPERIUM level encounters.

For the ease of people following along, please set up your posts with the following...

Your Character Name Here - Location Here

...headers, as that should keep the various scenes easily separated and tracked.

Note that this isn't a game that's designed to go on forever. It has a set "end" that it will eventually get to, where Saint Delos martyrs herself in the Spires with Void Munitions. In the end the Purge will be successful. We know the destination, so this game is all about the Journey. And what fun we'll have along the way.

Harver Thrax - The Dross Entrance

It had been several hours since the "Assault" order had been handed down to the Trench Rats, and there was little surprise that the Penal Legionnaires, among a few other Penal Regiments, Gangers, Mutants, and others had been assigned to assault the Dross of Hive Xanadu.

The surface of Sinares was a toxic wasteland. Probably the reason that Harver was sent down here, as the Respirator he wore was doing double duty just to barely keep the air breathable. And even with its work, there was a noxious taste to the air that seemed to cling to the back of Harver's throat, a sort of slime and film that made it hard to swallow and didn't seem to be going away anytime soon.

The entrance to the Dross was nothing so grand as a proper "entrance". With your collars fastened tight, you were ordered to approach the hive's wall, rusted, pitted, filled with holes that were apparently your "entrance" point. Some of them had corroded enough to let a chimera easily drive through. Others were a tight fit even for a Ratling. The order came though to march, or else. Troopers broke off into little groups, pressing their luck and guessing at which entrance might be 'safe'.

... you heard an explosion to your left that suggested someone guessed wrong, a trap going off with obvious, explosive results. The men didn't seem to all die from the wound, but were gasping for breath, choking on the toxic atmosphere of Sinares.

Harver's collar gave something of a warning "beep", giving him a choice of damnations, the large Chimera sized entrance, one that looked easy to walk through, just a little over mansized, only requiring ducking the head, or crawling through the sludge to enter a spot about 2 feet high, a tight fit with his armor. The Chimera entrance was dark within, the mansized one had a glow coming from inside, industrial lighting of some sort still seeming to work... and the sludge hole? Well... no telling where that went.

"Oh, man," Orloc whimpered, his breath coming in shallow gasps, as if he'd forgotten the respirator and was trying not to inhale anything too toxic. "Oh, man, oh, man. This is it, big guy. This is the one. We're gonna buy it on this rock." He flinched at the sound of the explosion, shotgun barrel wavering down toward the sludge.

"Maybe you are," Harver grunted, swinging his head back and forth. "Only one way to find out, ain't there?" His grunt turned into a bark of laughter, muffled by the heavy breathing equipment, and he nodded at the man-sized hole. "Still light in there. Means there's maybe still people. Means that's where we're going." He pointed his ripper gun at the makeshift entryway, hefting the massive shotgun with one arm as he raised his voice.

"Any of you grox-frakkers want to live, you're gonna follow me!" Without bothering to see if any of the other condemned troops listened, Harver trudged toward the light, ripper gun at the ready and Orloc trailing in his wake.
