So, if I have a 4th level Spell Like ability, do I qualify for a third level spellcasting requirement? The question here isn't whether or not SLAs qualify (They do in PF), but whether or not they work for lower requirements.

They do NOT work for lower level stuff.

However, spellcasting ability is not inclusive: it is possible (mainly through the use of spell-like abilities) to be able to cast 3rd-level spells but not 2nd-level spells. If you can only cast 3rd-level spells, that does not meet the requirement of "able to cast 2nd-level spells."

If it's of interest, here's a good list of SLA's for early entry purposes:

Wow, instantly bookmarked. I would use the scryer thingy for EK if I wasn't so fond of the Foresight bonus.

As a miscellaneous thing, if you ever need a place to go after finishing something like fighter1/wizard1/eldritch knight 10, hell knight signifier (hell knight enforcer on the SRD (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/prestige-classes/other-paizo/e-h/hellknight-signifer)) makes for a decent option, as it offers full caster progression, 3/4 BAB, and some okay abilities.

It's a PFS build, so it would be going until 11

Lore Warden Fighter 1/ Foresight Wizard1/Eldritch Knight9
Familiar: Centipede for daze poison, intimidates and aid attack.
1: Evolve Familiar (Reach)
Wiz1: Spell Focus
Fighter1: Power Attack
3: Combat casting
EK1: Weapon Focus
5: Dazzling Display
7: Cornugan Smash
EK: Shatter Defenses
9: Something...
11: *mumbles*

I'm not sold on Dazzling Display, although I guess it's really just a feat tax on Shatter defences, which Is pretty cool, but is still really just a gate-feat to Deadly Stroke, which you don't get enough fighter to qualify for, so I'm not sure if I'd bother, and I'd be more tempted by the Step Up And Strike line and throw in Combat Reflexes in place of Weapon Focus.

The familiar aid anothering your attack roll is actually a pretty cool idea which I don't think I've actually seen before.

I'll happily accept an alternative feat line.

People grossly underestimate their usefulness. It's one of the reasons why I hate bonded objects so much. One is a weakness for a singular spell slot, the other is some GP for Alertness and another ally with many possible abilities.

I was thinking about getting a small familiar to do this with, then I remembered Evolve Familiar, which can add 5 feet of reach to a natural attack. I was going to grab a guy with +init, but they all had ability damage, which isn't really reliable in PF. So I went for the Daze-ipede.
