I'm looking to make a good version of liches for a chaotic evil group of PCs. I'd like them to be deathless, because the process for becoming a normal lich is supposed to be irrefutably evil, so I'm thinking of an irrefutably good way to be immortal. He needs to be bound to a powerful evil artifact in order to prevent its theft, and he should have decent stats. He's most likely going to be a Wizard 5/Archivist 5/Mystic Theurge 5, so I'm wondering what spells he'd be likely to know.

There are no deathless Liches (unless you add them as DM) however there are Good-aligned Undead Liches. Libris Mortis is the most explicit source although Monster Manual permits it by omission and Savage Species grants explicit permission to PCs.

As for spells, I would just set him up as a normal 10th level caster (with extra slots via theruging). Just avoid spells rendered obsolete by the deathless/undead immunities.

Sidenote: Beware Disintegrate. It seems custom made to destroy undead.

Let him have this spell. It seems custom made against such annoying spells. :smallwink:
