Anyone ever see the stats for the Iconic characters? You know, Krusk, Mialee, Lidda, and all the rest?

I am just curious as to how they were built. Hopefully not as bad as the pre made characters from DnD Gameday, as those were horrible.

There are official 3.0 stats of them in enemies and allies, they're probably easy to update to 3.5 since they are (IIRC) build on core only.

You will post "them" shortly? As in, all of them, or just redgar? Either way, that is awesome. I just wanted to clarify as you did say "them".

I think the stats were also used when creating them for the Temple of Elemental Evil PC game.

Miniatures Handbook has Vadania at level 3...

The 3.0 Book Enemies and Allies has stats for them at three different levels, I believe.

Although it is a very old book.

I think, though I'm not 100% positive, that the basic game set has stats for a number of the characters at level 1.

Well, whatever you do, don't post on Eberk, the scourge of PC's. I didn't think it was possible to have stats that bad - I'm pretty sure everything but wisdom and constitution had a negative modifier.

Regdar is very bad as well, being fifth level and trying to specialise in both the longbow and the greatsword is a bad idea

If you do some more digging, you can also find Ember (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/cc/20000626e) and Devis (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/cc/20000626h).

It seems that Tordek is point buy 27, while everyone else has an elite array (aka 25). Curious. And of course, I wouldn't play a character with such piss-poor stats in DND, if I ever played this game.

Yes, it was nice to find them all as pre-designed characters. In fact, when I tried playing the game it was more interesting for me to try them than to make my own characters. :p

It looks like they just made a mistake on Tordek -- he's elite array, except that they forgot the -2 charisma modifier for being a dwarf.

Tengu

Of course it looks that way. But wonder did they really forget, or maybe there was another reason for this? Maybe they fought that he's not ugly enough for 6 cha?
Yes, I know that charisma != physical appearance. But some people at Wizards think that way.

Wow, low-level monks are incredibly weak with the "elite" array. :smallsigh: She seems to wear a mithral shirt at later stages though -- does armor with no check penalty count as no armor nowadays?!

I'd say it's another case of D&D writers not knowing how the game works...

The reverse side of the stat card gives you roleplaying stats so you can drop them into your standard D&D game as NPCs.

Here's the reverse side of Ember's card:

Funny how most of those characters have 8 charisma - how can the typical player not treat it as a dumpstat, if even WOTC encourage this?

Why would anyone who doesn't have Cha-based class skills or abilities put anything other than an 8 in it? Without the class skills, they'll suck at anything Cha-based anyway.

Tengu

It only shows how retarded elite arrays and generally low point buys are - you cannot have a character who's decent at everything and really good at one or two things. Everyone must have a dumpstat.

And strength is not very useful for most wizards or rogues.

As someone has mentioned, they're all in the the 3.0 Enemies and Allies. There ALL in there at levels 5, 10, and 15. I've used them periodically and just changed their names. Even though it's 3.0, its very easy to spot the conversions and do them on the fly. I suggest using that if your interested in them.

Cool, thanks for that.

Looks like Tordek has Charisma 6 on these cards; just an oversight before, then...

Click on this link and it will take you to the D&D Miniatures Warband Generator: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mi/20031113x

*Click on the "Launch Warband Generator" link.
*When the generator opens, click on the "Warband" tab.
*In the Available Miniatures section, scroll down to the character/creature you want to view the stats for. (Ember, Human Monk in the LG section for example.)
*Left click on the Name and this will bring up the stat card.
*Left click on the "R" in the stat card window and it will display the roleplaying info for the character/creature.

BTW-Why is Ember's mini LG when her roleplaying stats have her listed as LN?
BTW2-I believe Hennet is also one of them, just a human sorcerer whereas Aramil is an elf sorcerer.

I have to say that these cards are a great resource that I had never considered using before. Quite a number of characters are statted out, such as Lord Soth and Mordenkainen. I also noticed that Drizzt now has Strength 20; you can't keep a good Dark Elf down...

The factions are only LG, CE, CG and LE
