Request from Spikeof2010.

No idea how it went since I don't normally do PrC's. Balance could be off and the abilities might not fit your concept, please tell me if you want something to change.

Obviously, anyone else's comments would be appreciated.

The Alchemiester

Transmutation is the magical school of thought dedicated to changing the world. Through magic transmuters can reshape someones body to be stronger or faster, the land to make a castle from bare stone, or even bend time to their will. Alchemiesters are masters of a specific form of transmutation, changing one type of material into another.

Prerequisites
Arcane Spellcasting: Able to cast one or more of the following Transmute spells: Flesh to Salt, Flesh to Stone, Mud to Rock, Sand to Glass, Sand to Stone, Stone to Flesh, Stone to Sand, Rock to Mud
Feats: Spell Focus (Transmutation), at least one metamagic feat that can apply to one of the prerequisite spells.
Skills: Craft (Alchemy) 12

Game Rule Information
Hit Die: d6
Skill Points at Each Level: 2 + Int modifier

Class Skills: The alchemiester's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Knowledge (all skills taken individually) (Int), Profession (Wis), Search (Int), and Spellcraft (Int).

4 +2 +1 +1 +4 Major Transmutation, Minor Master +1 level of existing arcane spellcasting class

5 +2 +1 +1 +4 Alchemic Mastery +1 level of existing arcane spellcasting class

All the following are Class Features of the alchemiester prestige class:

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Alchemiester gain no proficiency with any weapon or armor.

Spells per Day/Spells Known: When a new alchemiester level is gained, the character gains new spells per day (and spells known, if applicable) as if he had also gained a level in whatever arcane spellcasting class in which he could cast 5th-level spells before he added the prestige class level. He does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If a character had more than one arcane spellcasting class in which he could cast 5th-level spells before he became an alchemiester, he must decide to which class he adds each level of alchemiester for the purpose of determining spells per day.

Alchemic Restructuring (Su): Alchemy is the art of turning one thing into another, a form of minor transmutation that doesn't require specific spells to enact. But with your superior knowledge of transmutation you can use alchemy to turn things into a much greater range of things. Alchemiesters can use their Craft (Alchemy) ranks - 3 for any other craft skill for any purpose.

In addition, whenever you sunder an unattended non-magical object you gain 1/4th of the items gp value as "potential material". Whenever crafting, you can expend your potential material as if it was gold pieces. At the end of each month, any unused potential material is wasted.

Deconstructing Touch (Su): By transforming an object into weaker materials for near instantaneous durations, you can ruin it's integrity. At second level, you deal an additional +1d12 desiccation damage with your unarmed and melee touch attacks against objects and creatures of the construct type.

Minor Transmutation (Sp): At second level, the alchemiester can change simple materials into others. Once per day you can cast a modified version of Minor Creation. This version of the spell:

Is a transmutation spell rather than Conjuration (Creation)
Requires you to be in contact with nonmagical, unattended object of nonliving, vegetable matter.
The touched matter is destroyed when you use this spell-like ability.
The duration is instantaneous.

Constructing Touch (Su): When a third level alchemiester successfully sunders an object, you can immediately use the potential material to craft a new item, this works like the craft skill as normal except that it's time frame is changed, with each day of work taking up only one full-round action.

Reforge the Blade (Su): Upon reaching 3rd level, an alchemiester can change a metallic weapon he is touching into another type of metal as a move action. The metals that a weapon can change to is determined by the difference between it's price, and the price it would have if it was made of the new metal. This difference cannot be larger than 1000 gp per class level. The effects of Reforge the Blade last for 1 minute.

Major Transmutation (Sp): At fourth level, the alchemiester can change many materials into others. Once per day you can cast a modified version of Major Creation. This version of the spell:

Is a transmutation spell rather than Conjuration (Creation)
Requires you to be in contact with nonmagical, unattended object of nonliving, mineral or vegetable matter.
The touched matter is destroyed when you use this spell-like ability.
The duration is tripled.
At the end of the duration the destroyed matter reappears in the created matters place.

Minor Master: Upon reaching fourth level, your number of uses per day of Minor Transmuation increases to your alchemiester level.

Alchemic Mastery (Su): At fifth level the alchemiester has better control over transforming spells. When you cast a transmutation spell that changes one material into another type of material and it has a metamagic feat applied to it, the increase in spell level is reduced by one (minimum 0).
