This thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?338618-Switching-between-Mobile-and-Full-Site) indicates that user can view the non-mobile website on mobile devices.

I have found a defect when viewing the non-mobile website on Safari and Chrome on iPad. This defect does not reproduce when viewing the mobile site.

1. Open Safari browser on original iPad.
2. Browse to http://www.giantitp.com/
3. Click the spoiler button below.

Did you get reloaded

Expected Result: The spoiler should show.

Actual Result: The spoiler shows briefly, then the page reloads to http://www.giantitp.com/forums/forum.php
I have seen this on big 16 spoilers with large amounts of text and small ones with 3 lines of text.
This occurs on iPad version 5.1.1 using current version of Safari for version 5 and Chrome mobile app version 28.0.1500.16
This defect does not reproduce when using the mobile version of this site.

Immediately after posting this, I browsed to this thread to confirm the spoiler above would cause the defect to reproduce.

It did reproduce as reported above.

I'm on Android and can't reproduce this error on both desktop and mobile version.

I mostly use the desktop version while being mobile and didn't notice any problems so far.

Error does not occur on iPhone 5s.

I've been unable to replicate this on an iPad 2, iPad 4, iPad Mini, or iPhone 5, using various flavours of iOS 6 and 7.

I'm having a similar problem in my Samsung Galaxy S3. Clicking spoilers will redirect me to the forum home

This happens to me, as well. I'm using Chrome on an original iPad and opening any spoiler tags redirects me to the main page of the forums. Doesn't happen on my phone, though. If this doesn't happen with newer iPad models, it's clearly a compatibility problem with the original iPad...

Using a Samsung Galaxy S3, with the default browser under the mobile site. No redirect.

Using an iPhone (either a 4 or 3, can't remember which). I get a redirect, though the spoiler box is open if I hit back.

I don't have an iOS device with iOS 5, so I can't check if my changes worked. Can you let me know if this issue is still occurring?

Great Job! This defect is no longer occurring.

I validated this fix on an iPad running version 5.1.1 using current version of Safari for version 5 and Chrome mobile app version 28.0.1500.16
