Ok, I'm running a campaign in a world were vampires are essentially their buffy equivalent, the same people but without souls and an evil being in their place. This is good and fun, but I'm thinking about including a "grant soul" idea for a casting of Bestow Greater Curse. This will be a rarely used derivative, obviously, because there's no guarantee that a creature with a soul is good, but then the creature can (theoretically) become good and repent for its actions.
