Okay. Questions. No need to get into details. Just spit ball some ideas and I'll figure out what sticks.

Mystic Ranger/Monk Combos for Ultimate "Drop me naked anywhere survivalist dude".

Mystic Ranger/Psionics: Any combo at all that sounds interesting

Mystic Ranger/Tome of battle: Don't really care for ToB, but interested in any suggestions for where to start.

Mystic Ranger/Ray Specialist: Thoughts on making a ray specialist MR.

Mystic Ranger/Druid: Shaper shifter dude, duh.

Mystic Ranger/Divine Spellcaster: Whatever floats your boat


Feel free to even suggest: that would just suck, but I'd prefer some suggestion on how to make it work.

I am a fan of Mystic Shooting Star Wildshape Rangers with Sword of the Arcane Order and Trapmaster ACF. You can find/disable traps like a rogue, have caster progression like a sorcerer up to lvl10 when you get 5th level spells. You can cast Wiz/Sorc/Ranger spells from your slots. You also have Full BAB, good Fort/Ref saves, and 6+int skill points per level. When you hit lvl5 you gain some wildshape goodies which are okay for utility purposes until you hit lvl12 and can take Draconic wildshape and start abusing dragon's abilities while still dropping awesome spells.

Does silly TO count? Shooting Star Ranger/Bard/Sublime Chord with Alternative Source Spell gets infinite caster level in both Ranger and Sublime Chord, if I'm reading it right.

Yes.

However, I already have that one. I personally see the chain of adding CLs only counting once, however. Still a CL of 36 is not unreasonable, done correctly.

Wildshape Mystic Shooting Star Ranger w/sword of the Arcane Order + Master of Many Forms.

Unlike the druid, you lose very little spellcasting (You have all your spell levels by ranger 10), and the full BAB starting point is a better chassis for a wildshape combatant.


I'm currently playing a Mystic Shooting Star Ranger w/sword of the Arcane Order + Scout w/swift hunter using a bow. It's lower op, but you've still got better spellcasting than a base ranger.

Mystic Ranger10/War Mind 10. 5th level Ranger/Wizard casting, 5th level Psionics, full BAB across the board, and some fun class features from the War Mind. Bonus points if you find a way to get both casting and manifesting run off the same stat (not sure of a way offhand), and use Wildshape Ranger with Mystic Ranger.
