An evil half-celestial?

I made a half-celestial NPC for a group of mine a while back, a paladin who they essentially watched as his father (another paladin and his mentor) was killed by a demon. This led to anger, anger led to hate, and hate led to the dark side, apparently, because I want to run him as a villain for a campaign. Question being, can half-celestials even become evil?

They're listed as Always Good, but that just means that it's very rare for one to fall to evil. It still can happen, there's a famous case of a Succubus Paladin which shows the other direction is also possible.

Always [x] just means that any that you are meeting will always fit this alignment unless specified otherwise. It's supposed to give a measure of reliability.
