Hello Playgrounders!

I am in the process of designing a new pantheon for my homebrew world.

A short summary: When the divine being came to awareness, it was surrounded by emptiness. After a while it was bored and created light to see by. That was when a part of it split off and fled, becoming a new sentient divinity all by itself. Then creation continued...

Light developed like any living being, going through the usual phases of life before dying and being reborn again as a babe. Darkness is eternal, never really living but also never dying.

There are 6 (?) god(desse)s of light (or aspects of one, really) and there is shadow, darkness, the part that split off and hid when light was created.
The god(desse)s of light mirror the phases of the (meta)human lifecycle:

- The Child: birth, childhood, renewal, hope, creativity
- The Youth: youth, virginity, purity, truth, freedom
- The Mother: motherhood, care, love, growth
- The Father: protection, defense, war, combat
- The Wanderer(?): adult life, work, perfection, travel
- The Crone: Old Age, wisdom, knowledge, death, endings

- The Shadow: Darkness, undeath, emptiness

So I am asking you out there for help. Please let me know what you think of the idea itself and its current version. Maybe you have ideas of your own?

Thank you!
