The comics is called MMORPC and follows the lives of three adventures in a fictional mmo-type game world/universe.

Nice, 7.8/10

I thought it was really good. There is a river of endless amounts of material that can be used here -and I can't wait to see them. The style is pretty good (better than some I've seen and what I can do). Though not to be harsh, but more honest, thoe punchlines seemed weak and lacking. Either way I'll keep one eye on MMORPC.

Had trouble keeping up in "SP is as SP does", mainly because I was wondering why that black Swirly Darkness appeared; I got lost and missed the joke. It's probably because I'm just stupid...I get lost easily.

P.S. Wouldn't mind sending in some funny pilots if you're interested (mainly in text...I'm no artist.)

Yea, I'm trying to figure out how to grow the strip beyond a chuckle lol. I'm still a writing newb so might take a little bit.

This sunday is the first strip of a major arch. It doesn't reveal much but it is most definatly the first of the arch.

Lol yes they can and will soon and on the topic of what they can do, there will eventually be full stat sheets and inventory lists of each of the characters, that will be updated after each strip if somthing needs to be changed.

Well most comics take a little while to find their "voice", and then become more and more funny as the series goes on, right?

I think this one has really come a long way in only 7 comics. I can't wait to see what's next. :smallsmile:

You might be getting use to the characters. Since its the beginning of the strip I have to force the characters onto the readers lol, as if they have always been around/on the readers mind.

There's also the question of how effective Spell Reflection is. With Paladin at first level, it reflected a level 1 spell from a third level Mage.

Clear Mage is more or less lvl 3 combat. He said he is learning both light/dark or white/black (what ever you want to call it) magics but nothing has been said about which spell belongs to which skill and the levels of each skill.

Lol yes im around, been very distracted lately.

Well i'm finally happy with the script for it not 100% happy but somewhere around 85% happy lol.

Hopefully I'll get time to sketch it tonight at work (I do lots of the writing and sketching at work on my breaks). And then i'll computerize it on my next day off. So not sure exactly but sometime this week.

News like update:
Ok well MMORPC is probably going to go on its regular hiatus type interval between updates exepct this time im going to be puttinga ton of work into making new strips. So, when the next update arrives there will be about 10 new strips waiting to go up, which will update twice weekly for 5 weeks, giving me a strip buffer zone to hopefully destory the illusion of a hiatus. so two woots for that.

Yea the thing that is taking the most time is putting the story together. I know where I want to go with it but now it's the matter of breaking it into single pages and applying a joke.

If there were no jokes it would be so easy lol.

My plan of working ahead in the archives just doesn't seem to be going as planned, I am however working ahead in the scripts which is almost just as good because then the hard part is done when I go to actually make the strip.

I will be working on #10 in the short future so be on the look out for that.

I think the pages on drunkduck offer rss, so that might be handy due to my extremely sporatic update schedule.

Ok, well I actually got asked to write a much larger scale full blown comicbook so lately i've been putting alot more time into that but I don't plan on stopping MMORPC, its my favorite webcomic I've done so far.

I finally got around to writing the script for #10 so all I have to do now is sketch and Make the actual comic. So it should be up relativily soon.

Then next few of MMORPC, while still following the storyline, will be more mmo humor related.

Eh... I don't mean to rain on your parade, but... hopefully this advice is helpful to you.

1. Comic Sans font is a huge faux pas.

2. MMO comics have been done already... no new ideas here, same old jokes.

3. Try not to reuse the same art over and over... I end up just reading the words and not looking at the pictures... at that point you might as well just write a short story or a play.

Life lately has been busy for me lol, sunday i'm an extra in a movie for example.

I do have the script wrote for strip 11 all I have to do now is the art but can't guarentee when but soon, I promise soon.

Yea but I really didn't want to use anime ace, plus if I find one that suits the strip later on (even if I buy one) I'll just switch it..but I have been thinking about hunting down a nice new font.

The art thing, well, if I didn't we'd never see a new strip lol but while I do reuse some art, I do sketch out the strip before I make it to get practice drawing the characters and whatnot..eventually, once I'm consistent enough I'll switch over to full drawing it.
