What are the most expensive (non-custom, non-epic) items for each body slot?

One additional criterion not in the title: The item doesn't have multiple variants with only numerical differences (i.e., gauntlets of armor +2, +4, +6, belt of magnificence +2, +4, +6, or ring of wizardly I, II, IV, etc).

As far as I know, cowl of warding (Magic of Faerun) probably goes to the head, the vest of the archmagi (Magic Item Compendium) goes to the torso. I'm trying to think of others.

There are a few items in MiC listed as more expensive than those, but they're all variants with numerical differences. There may be some other more expensive items elsewhere, but I think this is probably a good starting place.

EDIT: Note that Gwaeron's Belt got a major price cut between Magic of Faerun and MiC.

These aren't the most expensive for each slot across the books, right? I mean cowl of warding from MoF is around 200,000 gp compared to the helm of brilliance, which goes for about 120,000.

No, not across the books - just from MiC. It's inclusive of the MiC, PHB, and DMG. So yeah, a starting point for pricing, not an endpoint. I'll probably go through a few books tomorrow to see if there's anything else, but glancing in Complete Arcane, there's a Belt of Spell Resistance for 90,000 for the Waist slot, and a Staff of Mastery for 223,000 for an unslotted item.
