What monsters are there which cause Intelligence Drain? I'm interested in setting up an encounter involving the degeneration of mental stats; there's plenty Charisma Drain, and Allips are well known, but Intelligence is one which I rarely come across. I'd considered Reason Stealer, but that only works on death.

Phthisics, if they damage an opponent's Int to 0, turn the damage into drain.
Vargouilles do Int drain.

Not directly INT drain, but Feeblemind (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/feeblemind.htm) can take care of all mental stats.

Immoth (MM II): secondary damage from poison

Grisgol (https://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20040905a&page=4): Incite Madness

Shrieking Terror (MM3): Kiss - like vargouille

Feeblemind is perfect. I'd been looking at ways of getting effective use from Handle Animal to let me train them as if it was an Animal when they were Int 1.

Love this idea! Broken humans that have been trained like attack animals. You dont need rules for it, just make it so! Rules are there as guides not religious text like a lot of nerds treat them lol

As well as what's been mentioned:

Devil, Amnizu (FC2 p.112)
Illurien (MM5 p.80)
Sirine (MM2 p.185)

Immoth, MMII pg 128, have a poison that's effectively 1d6+2 pt Int drain as its secondary damage.

Man, and you in the wrong subforum for that attitude. I -wish- they took RAW as religious text here. Then there might be some interpretive differences. Around here they read it closer to machine code.
