Catherine shakes her head. I only survived because I was comprehending and manipulating it through Tinderhall, and not myself. I would have died instantly otherwise.

That would also explain it. Still, I should have a talk with this Tinderhall. He and I might both learn something.

The player picks up the new rubber chicken and decides to dual-wield them. He gives one the ability to explode like a grenade, then tosses it into the men's bathroom.

He runs out the door, yelling: Bombs away!

His open briefcase is left behind, tempting all within two feet of it to make a will save, or have the sudden urge to use it to commit a dastardly prank.

Rizzen throws a blue fireball at the briefcase, curious as to what will happen.

Be warned, Tinderhall isn't exactly... the nicest person. I don't know why he is so nice to me. Catherine frowns.

Ishmale goes over to the briefcase and pulls a fire-breathing whoopi cushion out of it. He puts it under a random NPC who sits on it and his (the NPC's) butt catches fire. He runs into the men's bathroom right as the rubber chicken explodes. The NPC flies backward towards Lord Magtok.

It's not like he could kill me. What's the worst that could happen? And maybe it's because he likes you.

Catherine blinks. Obviously she had not considered this before. At all.

Ishmale gets up and leaves and heads to the police station.

Destro sips his fireamber. He doesn't have anything to add, because it was really a stand alone comment. So he watches the trout swimming around the tavern instead. Then he decides that saying "It makes sense, doesn't it?" is safe, so he does so. It makes sense, doesn't it?

Um... I guess. Catherine blushes very slightly, but keeps her calm. I don't know about that though.

Well, I'm just saying it's a possibility. Could be any number of other things too. I can't think of any, but it could. Destro finishes the glass of fireamber.

Catherine takes a long drink from her Merfolk Merlot and looks back to her laptop.

[Destro_Yersul]

What's that? Destro peers at the laptop.

[Chaotic Bob]

Rizzen grabs his various bags and shoves them into his cloak. He backsteps into a shadow and vanishes.

Its my spellbook, except its rather technologically advanced. The Gent supplied it, and Tinderhall bought it and gave it to me.

[Destro_Yersul]

If Gent supplied it I'm sure it's the best. This is my spellbook. Well, one of them anyways. Destro pulls a very large book bound in dragonhide out of a pocket and sets it on the table. I've been working on making it easier to search through.

Catherine smiles. Name a transmutation spell.

Umm, Stone to Flesh. Destro opens his spellbook and starts looking for it.

Catherine types it in and has it up within a few seconds.

Destro flips through the spell book some more. I should have alphabetised this thing. He glares at it.

Catherine smiles. I have it done that way too. Also by the level of effort and power, and then I have a search option... at the moment I can search by name and discipline.

Better organised than mine. Destro points at the many scribblings on the current page. Things have been crossed out, re-entered, modified, adjusted, annotated, erased and written along the borders.

Catherine's spells are neatly noted, described, and written out in contrast to Destro's. She shakes her head. Hardcopy is so much more messy.

I still like mine though. I've had this thing for a very long time. Destro looks closely at the spell. Hey, this is summon trout! He grins.

Catherine looks bemused. Summon trout? Why are you so obsessed with trout? She gestures to the flying trout around the tavern.

[Destro_Yersul]

They're humourous. I like to watch them swim around blowing bubbles, and they taste pretty good too. Not that I eat them anymore. The swimming trout are completely oblivious to the fact that they are being discussed. They blow some bubbles at one of the rafters.

Catherine watches the trout, then shakes her head.

Well, I should be going. I just popped in for a drink, really. I'll see you later, Beckett. Destr stands, grins, and pops out of existence.

Catherine sighs and shifts out as well.

[McBish]

Eric goes to sleep in the corner of hiding where no cop can find him while he sleeps. But not really because his player doesn't need sleep. So he sits around.

Shogun walkes in. he looks around for eric

[McBish]

Eric spots the badge on Shogun and looks away hoping he isn't spoted in the corner of the tavern.

[Nix307]

Shogun spots the slight movement and approches Eric.

[McBish]

Eric sighs and seems to relax in his chair.

[Nix307]

Shogun stands infront of eric and says I am arresting you for theft. he attempts to cuff him.

[McBish]

Eric sighs and grabs at Shogun's wrist to pull himself up and Shogun down.

[Nix307]

Shogun jerkes back his hand

[Chaotic Bob]

The shadow elemental decides to help Eric resist arrest.
Yay something interesting.
((I'll help with this then I'm gonna go to bed...))
Rizzen watches from the rafters silently.

Shogun pulls out his sword

[McBish]

Eric stands up anyway and tries to pust Shogun back away from him. You got the wrong guy.

((Please let me respond to your action.))

[Chaotic Bob]

The elemental attempts to place itself between Eric and Shogun after the attempted push.

[Nix307]

Shogun touches him gently where the bullet wound is. then how did you get that then

[Chaotic Bob]

The elemental asserts its presence:
Back away sir. We wish not a fight, nor an arrest.
Rizzen continues to watch, though he begins to swirl some shadows.

[McBish]

There is no bullet wound, ok well there is blood stain on the pants there good catch. Ok then. Eric sighs and reminds himself to steal new pants. He makes a break for the door.

@at the elimental I dont want a fight either but this man has commited a crime and I need to arest him shogun sees Erics break andleaps at him attempting to block his way

[Chaotic Bob]

No you don't. You can turn a blind eye and go away unhurt.

[Uberblah]

Ishmale enters the tavern and notices the starting fight and realizes that Shogun is part of it.
I want in too. I want to take on the new cop.
He catches sight of the bracelet.
DAMN!
So Ishmale sits down at the table closest to the upcoming fight and orders a large popcorn and a large ale. He tips Cosmo accordingly when he receives his order.

[McBish]

Eric stops as he sees the guy jump infront of the door. He turns and runs for a window and tries to jump through it. Unfortently it is indestructiable. He hits it and falls to the ground.

[Chaotic Bob]

Rizzen acts. He leaps from the rafters making to land on Shogun, failing that he puts up a black wall around Eric.

Shogun leps at him and attempts to quickly put the cuffs on him

[Uberblah]

Ishmale laughs at Eric but then realizes that he wants Eric to win.
There's got to be something I can do that won't violate the terms of the bracelet but still hinder the new cop.

Rizzen spawns two bastard swords and charges Shogun.
You are not to have this boy!
The elemental sinks into the floor.

Shogun gets the cuff on one wrist and tries to push him back. Not letting his other hand get close to the cuffed wrist.

Shogun blocks his attack with his sword snd launches another back at him

Ishmale gets an idea.
Hey copper! Come here. I think I have a way to capture your crook over in the wall.

[Chaotic Bob]

Rizzen blocks the blow with one sword while swinging with his other sword.
The elemental appears under Eric and attempts to grab him and pull him into the floor.

[McBish]

Eric doesn't want to go into the floor because that is weird. He also is angry about the wall that is now blocking the door. But happy the cop is distracted.

Shogun concen trates on defending himself blocking the blow and launching a flurry of attacks

[Chaotic Bob]

Rizzen focuses on simply blocking all of Shogun's attacks, even if that means giving up attacks.
The elemental gives another tug at Eric.
Come on! This is the easiest way....

[McBish]

No the door is the easist way. But there is a wall... wait. He goes to open the window.

[Uberblah]

Ishmale picks up his ale and popcorn and finishes both and throws the popcorn bucket away. He keeps his ale glass in his hand and jumps into the rafters right above Shogun. He then unknowingly drops the glass at Shoguns head.

Shogun seemingly forgeting about eric leaps over rizzen's head inadvertidly dodging the incoming glass and slashes down

Iames appears. You need help, Officer? He sees the falling glass and catches it with telekinesis.

Crap.
Rizzen ducks the blow and slides through a shadow, appearing about 15 feet away.
The elemental tries to hide Eric from view.

yes please stop the suspect [eric] getting away

[Uberblah]

((eh... Shogun... the glass? no you explainy anything about it.))

EDIT: At the sight of Iames, Ishmale ducks back into the shadows then drops behind the bar, picks up some bottles of ale and then hops back into the rafters.

((Iames caught it.))

Eric climbs out the window into the streets.

Iames sees Eric climbing out the window and disappears.

Rizzen flickers outside and the elemental scurries after Eric.

Ishmale drops four bottles of ale at Shogun while he's still trapped behind the wall.
Ishmale decides to follow and put his ale in his pouch.

Tendai walks in from the forest orders a purple worm on the rocks and a Kobold chianti, pays and leaves a message for Rizzen
Meet me in the woods if you are or have anything to do with Rizzen. There will be a reward. He then leaves back towards the woods with the two drinks in tow

Castaras wakes up and takes a drink.

She glances round the room, looking at the people who are there.

She takes a book out of her bag, opens it, and begins to write.

Shogun walkes in and goes to the bar

[Castaras]

Castaras glances up at Shogun, before turning a page and carrying on writing.

[Nix307]

Shogun orders his drink before sitting at a table in the corner

[Castaras]

Her pen scribbles faster as pages are filled up. She finishes her mead and orders some more.

Shogun finishes his drink and leaves

[Castaras]

She takes the mead and finishes scribbling. She closes the book and locks it, pushing it to the end of her table.

*Caleb stirs a bit but does not wake. He starts talking in his sleep* Please come back....i dont want you to go.....*Caleb trails off into a snore*

[Castaras]

Castaras glances over at Caleb.

Talking in your sleep eh?

She puts the book away and begins to drink her mead.

[CLouD2002]

*Caleb mumbles something that cannot be made out. Then he jerks himself awake. Looking groggy eyed at Castaras he clears he throat* m-morning *rubs his face where he had been sleeping*

[Castaras]

She smiles.

Morning.

She finishes her drink and orders another.

Care for a drink?

[CLouD2002]

*Nods his head* I mead should do the trick. How are you feeling today? *Calebs yawns semi loudly* Sorry

[Castaras]

Castaras orders another Mead for Caleb. Cosmo comes running over to Caleb and hands him a drink.

I'm feeling better for the fact that no crazed halfling is going to try and kill me.

[AmberVael]

Jack comes through the door, juggling a pouch, a cluster of bells, a dagger, and a rock. He eases open the door further with his foot, then semi-hops inside, still juggling. He seems to be struggling to keep the objects in the air while opening the door and going through it.

[Castaras]

Castaras glances at Jack, amused.

*Caleb smilies a bit* Not to be pessimistic but there is always a chance for him to get out. And that is why i am still going to help you out until he is delt with 100%. *Takes a drink of his mead* Can i ask you why Fus was after you in the first place? Or is that a personal question? *Looks at Jack with amusement*

[Castaras]

Castaras sighs.

Without going into my past, I cannot really explain.

[AmberVael]

Jack tries to slip his foot from the door, but it catches at one spot and when he tries to move he trips and he and all the items clatter to the ground. The pouch lands on his head, the dagger stabs into the floor next to his hand, the rock hits the floor and the bells jangle as they land next to the dagger. With a sigh, Jack pushes himself back up to his feet.

[CLouD2002]

*Nods* I understand about people's pasts *Caleb looks like he is thinking about something eles* It is hard to relive what we have already gone through once *A tear shows up in Calebs eye* But one day we will gain enough courage and happiness to relive those dark times *Caleb takes a deep breath...blinks a few times and looks directly at Castaras* If you dont want to tell me i understand



*Caleb gets up quickly and helps Jack with gathering his things* Are you alright?

[Castaras]

Castaras looks at him.

I may tell people soon...all I can say is he and I were fellow slaves in the drow city we came from.

She turns away and finishes her drink, before taking the book out of her bag. It seems to be made of dark leather, with faint gold decorations upon it. She carefully opens it, before carrying on writing.

*Caleb smilies at Castaras* Well as long as your comfortable telling that will be fine *Looking at Jack* Here is your stuff.

[Castaras]

She carries on scribbling in her book, leaving the mead that Cosmo gave her untouched.

Yeah I'm fine, just trying to do too much at one time, as usual.
Jack chuckles at himself and nods a thank you to Caleb and puts his items back in their proper places.

*Caleb gets up* It is no problem friend *sits down across from Castaras and just glances at the scribbles on the book* Is that your spellbook?

[Castaras]

No.

She quickly closes the book and locks it, before looking up at Caleb.

[AmberVael]

Jack goes to the bar and pulls out his own spellbook and begins reading it.

*Caleb blushes for a bit* Sorry I didnt mean to intrude. *Rubs the back of his neck with his right hand* I just though for all the castings you do you might have one *blushes again*

[Castaras]

Yes, I have one. I prefer preparing spells elsewhere though.

She puts the book away.

Castaras looks up. She seems slightly worried.

No, its fine.

She takes her mead and finishes it off, before using her last limited wish to summon her massive spellbook.

[AmberVael]

Jack whistles and turns to another page of his spellbook, which seems to be filled with prayers. Prayers to a number of gods, actually.

[Castaras]

After staring at her spellbook, Castaras closes it and it disappears into her bag.

[AmberVael]

Jack flips to another page and it seems to detail a number of meditations to achieve contact with the spirits. The page beside it is an explanation of binding and pact magic.

[Castaras]

Castaras orders another drink, before carefully taking her other book out again and writing in it quickly, in pure drow this time.

[AmberVael]

Jack looks at the page about binding and flips to the page it references to. He begins to trace a circular, glowing symbol on the bartop.

[Castaras]

Castaras carries on writing, unconciously transferring to passages of common.

- am not sure whether I should say this, but this is my life. I write it, and only I shall read it. Fus has been attacking me again...what is it that has angered him so? He has changed so much since the time we fought side by side through the underdark hordes. Maybe I should -

Someone in such a serious mood might find Jack's merry whistling fairly irritating, but he continues on oblivious if that is the case. He finishes drawing his symbol and starts a chant.

[Castaras]

Castaras falls asleep on top of the book, quill falling to the floor, as her player goes and has tea.

[AmberVael]

Jack finishes his chant and seems to stare off into space and speak silently with something.

[Lord Sidereal]

Amitos enters the bar, the bartender spotting him and pouring him some mead. He grabs it with a smile and resumes his studys by the fire place, a bubble of calm projected around him 10 feet in all directions.

[AmberVael]

Jack smiles and says something, then blinks as red energy rages over him. A red light lingers in his eyes. He frowns.
Ah hell- damn it.

[Castaras]

Castaras stirs, but does not wake.

[Lord Sidereal]

Amitos sends a small bead of light from the tip of his finger to try and stir Castaras.

[AmberVael]

Grumbling, Jack tries to ignore his vestige's influence and turns to another page which details eldritch magic.

[Saurous]

Saurous enters the tavern. He sits down at a table, orders a Spoonake Chablis, and pulls a small gem from his bag. He begins studying the crystal, looking for something about it.

[Lord Sidereal]

Amitos looks up "Another student of the arcane, I see?"

[AmberVael]

Studying one magic is like- Jack coughs and starts again in a gentler voice. I study more than just arcane. Name a magic.

[Castaras]

Castaras opens her eyes and looks down at her book. She puts it in her bag hurridly, forgetting to close it properly. She picks up her spilled mead and carefully presdigitationizes the spilled mead away. She then orders some more.

[Saurous]

Saurous continues his investigation of the gem. He places it on the table. He makes a few hand gestures, and his eyes glow black in place of their usual red.

True Seeing...

[CLouD2002]

*Caleb sits watching the two but make an effort not to look into there books. Caleb dozes off*

[Deadly]

Deadly appears in a swirl of black flames and sits down at the bar, looking a bit unhappy. He sighs and orders a plate of muffins.

[Castaras]

Castaras sighs, and slowly forms an illusion round her book. She then casts true seeing, and begins to write frantically.

If anyone looked, they would see a lot of "Thaye Qayuayick Brayown Fayox Jayumps ayovayer thaye layazy dayog." in neat, glowing arcane runes.

[Lord Sidereal]

"Deominc Possesion" Amitos says to Jack, offhandedly.

[AmberVael]

Jack gives a sigh.
That very specific branch of magic falls under binding.
His eyes flash a deeper red.
I am practicing pact magic right now. Would you like to try again?

[Saurous]

Saurous turns the gem around in his hands, hmming. He places the purple crystal on the table, placing his hand on it.

Enervation...

The crystal shudders somewhat, as if something was alive inside it.((Maybe there is :smalltongue:)) Saurous removes his hand from the crystal, sliding his chair away from it a bit, not removing his eyes from it.

"The dark lords of the northern realm of Kator practice a magic known as the art of the eye"

[Castaras]

Castaras finishes a page, and reads what she just wrote. She smiles, before closing it and casting a spell upon it. A number of magical threads surround it tightly, holding it shut.

She then puts it in her bag.

Can you give a bit more specific description as to the nature of this magic? Magic goes by many names, and I have forgotten much of what I have learned.

[Deadly]

Deadly eats most of the muffins on his plate, and stares at the rest

[Castaras]

Castaras sees Deadly, and raises an eyebrow.

What manner of a creature are you?

[Saurous]

The crystal stops it's vibrating for a moment. It stays perfectly still for a few minutes, and then explodes in a small blast of shards and color. After the color fades and the shards stop flying through the air, one sees a purple, demonic creature floating in the air. It has a pair of horns on it's head, a pair of bat-like wings, and a tail that is twice as long as it is. It is about 2 feet tall. The creature opens it's eyes, and lets out a screech as it spirals into the air, looking for a creature. It finds it's target, flying towards Castaras.

Saurous watches it fly into the air, not letting the indifference leave his face. He prepares a spell.

Deadly turns to Castaras and smiles a bit Well, I'm a raccoon.

That could be anything from eldritch to retainment magic.
Jack shrugs.
I have not heard of such a magic, but I have many effects that could replicate it.

[Saurous]

As the demon comes within 15 feet of Castaras, Saurous makes his move. He reaches into his bag, pulling out a tiny black stone. He tosses it towards the demon. As it flies through the air, Saurous points his finger forwards, and lets a bolt of red and black energy fly from the end of his finger. The stone hits the creature in the side of the head, and the beam hits the stone dead center. The beam, a beam of Enervation, causes the stone to shatter, and causes the demon to fall unconscious mid-flight. As the stone breaks, a cube of energy springs forth, trapping the demon in a cube of force. The demon crashes into the ground.

[Lord Sidereal]

"You are a student of both eldritch and divine magics, then?"

[Castaras]

Castaras looks at the demon and Saurous in disgust, before turning back to Deadly.

I've never seen any of you wielding any kind of power before...

Arcane, Divine, Truespeaking, Binding, Shadow, Spirit, Natural, Dragon, Hex... the list goes on.

Jack shakes his head.

She takes the paw and shakes it.

[Saurous]

Saurous walks over to the cube. He places his hand upon the cube.

Foul demon...

He places a floating disk underneath the cube. A mummy walks into the Trog's, obviously a creature of Saurous'. The mummy pushes the cube and disk out of the Tavern. Saurous glances at the cube in disgust. He then sits down at his table, cleaning the crystal shards from around it.

[Deadly]

Nice to meet you, then. he says and signals Cosmo for a glass of wine.

[Castaras]

Castaras smiles slightly, before turning back to her drink. She picks it up, sees something inside it. She waves a hand over the drink, staring into it.

[Lord Sidereal]

"No one masters magic... magic, however, masters many. I must retire" and with that Amitos is no longer in the tavern.

[AmberVael]

Jack shrugs and turns back to his book.

[Deadly]

Deadly leans back and sips his wine.

[Castaras]

She carries on looking at the surface of her drink, lips moving.

[Saurous]

Saurous, finished picking up the shards, sits down. He pulls a book out of his bag, placing it on the table. He takes one last glance around the Tavern, looks oddly at Castaras staring into her drink, and then looks down at his book.

The sisters awaken from player coma and order DFB's

Pelgof walks in, and goes and sits by Saurous.

Much happening?

[Castaras]

Castaras snickers softly, still watching the depths of her drink.

[Saurous]

Saurous sighs, looking up from his book.

Nothing much. Exploding crystal, escaping demon. The usual. Did you see the creature walking up the street, pushing a forcecage? The demon was in that forcecage. I'll have to examine the demon when go back to the Guildhall.

He glances down at his book.

"Don't worry, she's prone to odd stuff. Had to speak to her firmly when I first got here, she's been a lot more chilled since she zapped that Drider"

He carefully pulls out a note and shows it to Saurous.

Deadly finishes his wine, picks up the last muffins and disappears in a swirl of black flames.

Castaras finishes her drink, and rummages in her sack for something or other.

Saurous glances at the note. His face does not change expression.

I do not find a purpose for it at this point, as that matter has already been taken care of, has it not?

She lifts out of her bag a small drow notebook, and flicks it open, searching through it.

Amitos re-enters in peasent clothes, with a simple wooden staff strapped to his back "Who is Sauros?" he asks, addressing the room.

Pelgof fold up the note and replaces it in his pocket.

Saurous nods to Pelgof silently. He then looks over to Amotis.

It is pronounced 'Saurous'. But, more to the point, that would be me. Why do you ask?

Pelgof nods to Saurous, and walks out, glancing briefly at Amotis.

Castaras carefully reads one page of it. Her other hand scrabbles for some paper.

Saurous looks around the Tavern once more before dissapearing.

Castaras begins to write down some information on the paper.

Her eyes glance round the now silent room in surprise, before turning back to her work.

*Caleb stirs in his sleep and mutters* Shelbie....

Castaras finishes what she was scribbling, and takes out her large book again. She flicks it open, and slips the notes inside. She closes it and carefully puts it away.

*Caleb stirs again and mutters* I am sorry.....*he trails off and then a few minutes later speaks again*for not protecting you....*he tails off again but a tear comes down from his closed eye lids*

[Castaras]

Castaras stops, and quietly listens.

*Caleb moans in his sleep* They will pay....the cult....that posioned you....and kil........*Caleb trails off again*

Castaras wonders about whether she should wake him or not, then gently shakes his shoulder.

Rise and shine...

*Caleb doesnt seem effected by the gentle shake. He mutters three words* i loved you.....*he trails off again*

Castaras sighs, and shakes him again.

[CLouD2002]

*Caleb seems a little affected by that shake as he lifts up his head with groggy eyes* Eh? *Then tries to put his head back down*

[Saurous]

Saurous steps into the Tavern again, looking for Amotis. Seeing that he is not here, he looks around Trog's. The only thing of importance that he sees is Caleb slumped on a table and Castaras shaking him. He walks over silently to them, mouthing the words "What's wrong with him?"

[Kyral]

The half-giant enters quietly, looking amused. He glances around the Tavern, then takes a seat at a large table several meters away from the bar. "Little man...raw meat, cow?" Cosmo scurries off to get his meal.

[Castaras]

You seemed to not being enjoying yourself while you were sleeping.

She hands him a mead.

She looks up at Saurous. She mouthes back "Very tired and emotionally distressed I think."

[Saurous]

Saurous shugs, giving off sort of a "Like every other person around this place?" vibe. He sits down at a table, still looking at Caleb.

[Castaras]

Castaras smirks at Saurous.

Cosmo returns to the half-giant with a large plate of raw beef. The half-giant smiles a wide smile and begins eating the meat vigorously.

*Still sleepy eyed* Enjoying myself? *Takes the mead and drinks some* What do you mean?

She stops for a second, trying to think of the right words.

Where I come from, when you talk in your sleep of the past, it is a bad sign. I assume you were speaking of the past, anyway.

Saurous gives somewhere between a sarcastic and sympathetic smirk at Caleb. He lets out a soft laugh as he listens to Caleb's confusion, and then muffles himself.

*Caleb blushes a bit* Oh...of the past?..i did? *acting nervous now* What did i say?

Something of...Shelbie and some sort of cult.

She looks at him carefully, before ordering another five meads in advance.

Saurous frowns as he hears about a cult, and then orders a Spoonake Chablis, handing Cosmo money for both this one and the previous one.

*Tears well up Caleb's eyes as he hears her name. He takes all five meads at the same time and drinks them all in one glup. He then takes his left arm and wipes the tears that are in his eyes away.* I-I am sorry....it is just hard for me to hear that name

[Castaras]

Castaras looks sympathetic.

You don't have to talk about it.

She orders a few more drinks and takes one for herself.

[Saurous]

Saurous gags a bit as he sees Caleb down 5 meads in one gulp. He calms himself, giving Caleb a sympathetic look.

*Grabs a money pouch from his belt and gives it to Castaras* Give this to the bartender will ya? And tell him to keep the tip * He drinks his mead* I orinally came to this town because i had information that the cult i was looking for is here somewhere....*Caleb trails off. He takes another drink of his mead*

Cosmo grabs the money bag, and brings along a tray of 10 more meads for Caleb.

Which cult would that be, if you don't mind me prying?

*The bartender opens the bag and yelps....people here whipers about 100 platnum in the coin bag. Caleb shakes his head at Castaras* I dont know what the name is...that is my problem. I think the cult had to do something with a snake. I cannot remember to well...i was not thinking straight when they attacked.....*Caleb trails off again realizing that he said something he didnt want to say. He quickly downs another mead and takes another one*

She glances at the bartender.

She looks serious again.

I haven't heard of a snake cult...I may be able to find a place to search...if you want me to help.

She smiles slightly.

I mean, you've helped me so I need to pay you back.

Saurous hmms.

Snake? Snake cults, snake cults...The closest I can think would be a cult to Meyanok, god of serpents. I could also help. This does sound interesting.

Saurous, being the Evil being he is, usually does not offer his assistance like this without asking for payment. A rare gesture indeed.

*Caleb smilies a bit* You dont need to pay me back. It was my pleasure and an honor to protect you and still protect you now. *sighs* I will glady execpt any help though. As it seems i am not able to remember much at this time. Maybe in due time that part of my memory will be restored *Caleb trails off for a few seconds and then chimes in* And i didnt buy but these drinks here. That was a tip to them *smiles a bit more*

*He then looks over to Saurous* If you are willing to help i would welcome it. We would just have to wait until i get more details about the cult....and so my memory would return. I am Caleb and your name is? *Stands up and holds out his hand for a shake*

The bartenders sigh and walk back behind the desk.

Castaras takes out a few strange books, one of them being the one you saw before. She opens it, and flicks through it, searching.

Saurous disapears for a moment, and then reappears, holding several books in both arms. They all have topics on Snakes, evil deities (Most of which Saurous is familiar with), and cults. Saurous begins flipping through the first book.

Saurous. My name is Saurous.

[Uberblah]

Ishmale runs in at full speed for no reason at all. He tries to stop, but he trips and flies over the table that Caleb is at before hitting the opposite wall.
Hey Cosmo, can I have a small glass of spring water, please? take your time.
Ishmale then passes out from mild head trauma.

*Caleb picks Ishmale up by the scruff of the neck, dusts him off, and lays him down the the chair. Then looks to Saurous* Would i be able to look through them too?

Castaras picks up on one note, and carefully reads it.

Dammit...where the hell would it be...

After a long period of time being stuck in a time worm-hole thing, Agent Omega enters the tavern.

[Saurous]

Saurous looks up to Caleb from a book on cults. He hands Caleb a book.

This is a book on major evil Gods. I have already memorized most of this book. You can look through it and see if you recognize anything.

He then continues to page through the book he was looking at.

It has to be somewhere...

*Caleb picks up the book and starts tumbing through it*

A stray piece of paper falls to the floor from her book. She doesn't notice as she puts the books back in her bag. She stops.

Agent Omega takes a seat at a table, and orders a Spoonake Chablis.

Saurous continues thumbing through the books, even calling several intelligent, undead minions to assist. The more minds, the quicker one can find information.

Castaras quickly puts the books away. She takes out a few gems.

I'm sorry Caleb. Someone has come who I need to deal with.

She runs out of the tavern, magic building up around her.

[Saurous]

Saurous watches Castaras run out the door. He builds up a small spell inbetween his fingers, following behind. He opens the door, looking out into the street.

*Caleb eyes come up from the book and sees Castaras darting out but then glimpes at a pair of eyes he should have never forgotten. A flow of emotions erupt within Caleb: Rage, fear, hurt, pain, sadness just to name a few. Caleb grips the book with such force his knuckles start to get white. He is looking at a picture of Tiamat* This is it.....the eyes tell it all *Caleb then passes out and smacks the floor with hard thud. The book still open to the picture of Tiamat*

Saurous comes back into Trog's, walking back over to where he was sitting. He looks at Caleb.

Well, apparently Castaras had to handle something at the Station. Another drow came inside and teleported her away. Now then, how is the- What the-

He kneels next to Caleb. He looks over to the book.

He steps away from Caleb. He writes a note, placing it upon Caleb. He then teleports Caleb to the Temple of Inari. Saurous then picks up all the books, teleporting to the Mages' Guild.

Alena walks downstairs, she keeps her wings tight against her back as she walks over and sits at the bar.

Alex appears by the bar besides Alena.

She smiles at him, You're silly, she holds out one hand.

A squad of Forsaken soldiers slams open the door, march inside in unison, turn to face the many people in the tavern...and open fire with life-sucking energy weapons.

Alena holds tightly to Alex's hand and steps them into the Shadow Plane.

Alex rolls his eyes at the attack.

A group of Aszarkian soldiers manifest a containment field around the things, and Finne teleports in. He sits at the bar and drinks a beer.

Agent Omega dives behind a table, knocks it over to use it as cover, and attempts to telekinetically implode the Forsaken.

Alex turns to Alena "Do you want to get out of here?"

The half-giant watches the Forsaken soldiers, looking annoyed. None of the attacks seem to harm him in the slightest.
