I did a bunch of Googling in the last few days and have been poking around the Looking For Group section of Roll20 and I think I have a solid character (http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=862964) that I really like, but since I don't have any of the handbooks or anything, I don't know where to go with the character or even what my options are past level 1, though I am thinking multiclass Fighter would be nice. Please help? =]

d20srd.org (http://www.d20srd.org) probably has what you're looking for, but there's no context to the information. Unless you already know what you're looking at, you might get lost.

I strongly recommend picking up a copy of the Player's Handbook.

Edit: Aaaaand I just noticed this is the 4e section...Well, my advice about the Player's Handbook still stands, though if you're desperate to avoid buying anything, you might look at the quickstart for ideas on how to proceed. If you decide to stick with D&D however, you're going to need the PHB eventually.

There's a game on mythweavers recruiting ATM that is meant for new players who'd like to learn to play 4e.

Make sure that the books / advice you get are for the edition you're actually playing. The changes from 3.5 edition to 4th edition are non-trivial.

Thank you for that, I did apply =] Had to adjust the stats a bit, as the initial application I made it for allowed a 75-point spread.
