Composite Body: Warforged bodies are composed of stone, metal and wood, and thus are vulnerable to effects which target creatures composed of these substances, like heat metal, repel wood, and the rust monster's rusting touch. Spells which target objects only (such as stone shape) have no effect on a warforged.

Now that last line contradicts the first spell listed. Heat Metal says metal equipment, which is an object yet it has effect.

But they don't count toward spells for objects?

Has this ever been errata'ed or fixed in any way?

Should Warforged count as objects for beneficial spells such as Book Ward?

Stone shape normally only affects freestanding stone but not creatures made out of stone, such as golems. Heat Metal on the other hand, affects metal equipment, which would include all of the metal parts of a warforged.

Would book ward work then?

presumably so. It was even brought up in a thread about a troll-blooded warfroged as a potential means of giving it total immunity.
