So, a while back, my DnD group decided to change to pathfinder. Being inexperienced in all things roll play, I didn't think much to it, because they allowed me to keep my build, myself thinking that it would work out alright. My build (currently) in pathfinder is a Dwarf 4 barb/1fighter/3fists of the forest, with the respective feats needed + frozen berserker, as I planned to go into bear warrior and frostrager.

So my question is, how can I continue this build? I've heard that in pathfinder its better to stick with a single class rather than multiclass. or should I ask if I can make reasonable alterations to some prestige classes to be better so I can catch up to the people in my group?

Cheers

Yes, in Pathfinder you are generally better off sticking with a single class than multiclassing to hell and back, so you will probably want to stick to pure Barbarian. Also, prestige classes are not nearly as common as they were in 3.x. However, base classes are a lot more customizable now than they used to be and you can usually find some Archetype (set of ACFs built around a specific concept) to do what you want to. This is not a universal truth, though, and sometimes a quick dip can be worth it, especially if you are concerned with getting the flavor right at the expense of optimization.

What sort of unarmed Barb? striker, grappler or some sort of combat maneuver specialist?
The Brutal Pugilist (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/barbarian/archetypes/paizo---barbarian-archetypes/brutal-pugilist) archetype is basically a grappler. Remember to look through the Rage Powers of the Barbarian to find the ones that help the best. I'm not too familiar with them and too lazy to read through them right now. ;:smallwink:

Here's a monk/barbarian (http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2mnlv?Brutal-PugilistMartial-artist-best-grappler) grappler build that might give you some ideas.

If you are interested in some Fighter splashes, here's the unarmed archetype (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/fighter/archetypes/paizo---fighter-archetypes/unarmed-fighter).

Hope this helps.

If you can keep your prestige classes and still get into the ones you were planning to later on, I would stick with your plan, it's way better than any of the scraps you'll get in PF as a base class only (or with PF PrC's, which are utter garbage for non-casters).

If you can't keep the 3E stuff and are trying to mimic it using PF rules only...good luck is all I'll say.
