I've always wanted a bard PrC that would make them good at melee. Elans new PrC seems to do that quite well. Anybody know if its real, or what book it is in?

It's not published, but a number of people homebrewed one after the comic. Let me dig around a little and I'll link to them.

Edit: Here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29882) and here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31137) are the some that a quick search revealed. There may be more.

There's a very combat-capable bard prestige class in monte cook's book of eldritch might: songs and souls of power.

Celtois made a decently good bard PrC here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33896). Bardic Adventurer. It's basically a sneaky bard, but it adds Cha bonus to damage rolls. It does come close to stepping on the Rogue's toes, but it's not a bad little class.

the War Chanter of CW may not be exactly what your looking for, but it does offer more bard like abilities, a full BAB and D8 hit dice. Nothing in it though that would help make a bard comparable to fighter per say, but it's worth a look.
