It says you gain bonuses while your master is with you. Would you pick another PC to be your master, or would the DM stat up your master for you? And does he have to be physically with you at all times, no way around it?

Will of the Chosen and Bravery of the Chosen require you to be within 60 or 30 feet of your master, respectively. Shield of the Master, Vigor of the Chosen, and Unnatural Aura function at any distance.

For choosing a master, it is up to your group, but I would recommend choosing another PC who has agreed to build an undead. That way he can take Lifebond, and together you can be best friends. If for whatever reason you don't have a master that's going to be with you, you can use the acorn of far travel, assuming your master's going to stay close to the tree, but that's a method that will likely get many frowns.
