Level Adjustment for Paragon and Pseudonatural

for awhile in the past, i wanted to know what these two level adjustments were. After i found Savage Species, i was excited to have finally found a way to estimate them, and i did. However, there is an easier method for both


Paragon


take the ECL for a mind flayer: +7 LA + 8 RHD= 15

subract from ECL of Paragon Mind Flayer: 26 - 15= 11


total: +11

simple right?



Pseudonatural


ECL for troll: +5 LA +6 RHD = 11

Pseudonatural Troll - Troll: 24 - 11= +13


the templated creature ECLs can be found in the Epic Level Handbook page 156

That very well may be but I don't see pseudonatural being a higher LA than paragon...

Or rather when involvong tools from the ELH you ask the DM what he suggests for a book that was 3.0/3.5 borderline and almost entirely dedicated to helping a DM play at those sort of levels.

Not to mention that every time this gets brought up the RAW states in accordance with the Adding a template rules that those templates missing an entry in a statblock do not modify the base creature. Whether that is same or not is in the same vein as Pun Pun and Drown Healing also beimg RAW legal.
