Note: This is a thread for players of the EMPIRE! PbP game only.

Take turns, wait untill the one before you is done editing the map, then add in your own. This will prevent overlap.

Use straight white lines with the smallest line width, with Paint for example, do not use the pencil! Mark the stars that you are using with a small blue dot, and leave some space between the dot and the lines themselves. Also, only connect existing stars, so do not make stars up (No Cheating!). Constilations do not have to make sense or have the exact image of their name (Ursa Major/Minor also doesnt look like a bear).

*Year 387, first cycle of the sun, 5th pyrith: Honesty, Day of the Fortress, Academy of Culture and Prowess, Hurosha Empire*

"Dear Magnus, It's finished!" Irjik shouted out to her Menhîrin companion. She jumped off her chair, remarkably agile for a Bucka her age. Her skin was already turning into a greyish tint, her nose long and croocked. However, despite her 92 year old life, her eyes were still clear and full of intelligence.

"What have you got, or found, or thought off? Something interesting I hope?" Her companion replied with a hint of sarcasm in his voice. Magnus walked towards her, his many feet clicking along the obsidian floor. He was a strange sight indeed, having a long, centipede like body made out of opaque, dark blue crystals. Being around 2000 years old and one of the lead scholars of Grwîstîn, his knowledge of the earth was unparaleled, but he also curious about the other, aboveground things that he did not see before.

"I just got permission from the Eienguard to complete my Starmap!" Irjik's chest swelled with pride. "And interpret the meanings of the stars, the figures in them! This is the greatest honor a scholar could have. I'm starting immediately."

She rushed to a table, rolled out the scroll she was holding on her arm, revealing an accurate drawing of the stars:

"And what would be the point of that?" Magnus said unconvinced, looking at the map. He could barely dodge a dagger thrown at him from out of nowhere.

"Be careful boy, I ain't a Blade-scholar for nothing! You can watch if you want, but do not distract me."

Irjik sneered at him. She bent over her map and started looking at it and after an hour or so, scribbled down a constilation, with a name for it on another part of the scroll of the map.

On a different scroll she writes:

"In the center of the heavens, the constilation of the Mantid stands guard over all of Telluris."

I call dibs on a constellation shaped like a bunch of grapes in the eastern sky. The brightest star in the constellation will point due East. I'll draw it up... sometime.

Updated the Rules and the example.

If needed/wanted, you can just put your own starmaps here for your culture/region. However, I thought it would be nice to have at least one where everyone could put something in it.

Oh and btw, if you're not sure if anyone is working, just post your idea. If it overlaps, we can fix it afterwards.

In the Eastern sky, a celestial bunch of berries with three stems. The star which joins the stems together is Bhora, who points due east, toward the dawn.

Not a serious submission, just something I couldn't not see.

Behold the majestic space duck!

Behold the majestic space duck!

It seems to be bearing down on the mantid. Do ducks eat insects? What about space ducks?

I will do a constellation at some point, but I'm being surprisingly lazy about it.

I have another, but am at a work computer where I can't submit new ones. Please, no one use the stars immediately to the left of the dancing swordsman.

I kind of used them 4 days ago, but feel free to use them again.

Noooo! My Dashing Gazelle! You ruins it! :smalltongue:

(I could not see the image from the particular work computer when I made my initial comment attempting to reserve those stars.)
