Inspired by another poster's character idea and playing video games, I have an idea to make a Jedi-like character using a thrikreen. A few questions first, though...

1) Is the 3.5 thrikreen (XPH) different than the 3.0 thrikreen (MM2)?

2) Is the psychic warrior of 3.5 (XPH) different than the 3.0 psychic warrior (Psionics Handbook)?

3) What kind of penalties would this character suffer fighting with a short sword in each of its four hands?

4) Suggested builds using 3.5 core + 3.0 psychic warrior?

1) Yes (actually not sure right off the top of my head, but I believe it is)

1) Yes

2) depends on feats and classes, it operates identically to two-weapon fighting except that you have two extra 'off' hands and you must take multi-weapon fighting instead of two weapon fighting. Therefore you would attack at -4/-8/-8/-8 without any help from feats. With Multiweapon fighting it's 4 attacks at -2.

4) Don't use 3.0 psionics.

I know the 3.0 psionics are...icky. I was thinking of only giving the character a couple of levels so that he would have a power point reserve to use the feat called Psionic Jump (or something). Then he could have uber-Jedi jumping skills.

Also, is the XPH in the SRD?

Pretty much, yeah, it is.

unfortunately one of the things the SRD psionics lacks is the actual racial entry for thri-kreen.

But since you are making a 4-armed, jedi-style character you are required to give him some sort of built-in armor plating.

And tuberculosis, apparently.

Talking about General Grevus (sp?) from the third movie. Who was unfortunately brutally destroyed in the movie, considering he was one of the coolest characters from the clone wars cartoon. Sad times.
