View Full Version : Reflect Magic?

This question was spawned by the other thread over there where a DM had ruled that a failed Dispel Magic might reflect and dispel your own stuff.

In that case, it was a piece of DM fiat. But it got me thinking: are there actually ways to reflect spells or similar effects in 3.X?

A quick search turned up the Spell Reflection ACF for characters with Evasion, but it doesn't seem really useful (as it only triggers when the attacker missed you anyway).

In our AD&D2 campaign, my character possesses a sword that reflects all Lightning- and Polymorph-based attacks back at the source. I wonder if an item like that could be legitimately created in 3.5?

Spell Turning, right in the SRD (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/spellTurning.htm)

Also Ring of Spell Battle, which is MiC IIRC.

Exceptional Deflection (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/feats.htm#exceptionalDeflection) can be fun.

Depending on the spell there's also friendly fire.
